So there are two different RTW mods on the period?

Probably there are more of them, but playable is only one (and one submod).
Suppose, there some proper quality models for this mod in "Road to Luoyang" and 'All Under Heaven".

not true.
"zhanguo" means battling states period after the zhou dynasty (wich happened almost a 1000 years before all of this)

"zhonguo" at the other hand exactly means china (or the middle kingdom literally)

I played the original and I must say it was getting annoying after a while on the strat map. So far I only ported all the music. But it can be done.

I managed to sort out the 'floating' riders as well (not in these pics) - turns out it was only a simple correction in the descr_mounts file.

This unit kept me busy (crash without message) re-allocating vertices and trying new animation combinations until I realized it was missing the banner entries in the EDU entry

From what I understand, for the initial conversion release, it will just be the RTW ones.

In the beginning it will be just the RTW 'clones' - one face only. Someone with more experience in skinning and modelling will have to have a look into it.

Once you get familiar with all the tools and have a proper set up it's not that difficult. But there are numerous pit falls like different entries in the EDU, different comments in the model, a variety of animation combinations. Luckily I don't have to do anything other to do with the textures then converting and making a normal map.
I won't convert the mounts - the M2TW ones are fine, I just have to do the faction bits in the textures.

They do look good. Can you upload a couple of those texture files? I would like to see if I can improve them real quick using some filters, lighting effects, and tricks I know. I might be able to give them much more detail/quality with very little time/effort. I may even be able to make them look like they are HDR.
