OK - update! I now have the last submission (sent on today!) so we are all ready for the editing and formatting process. I will expect to get this ready in about 2 weeks for preview here as before - if not sooner. Things are a little busy at the moment. The overall 2nd volume is looking good in terms of quality though and I am excited about launching it over the next couple of weeks.

As before, I will post a pdf rough draft for everyone to read through - that will gives us all an opportunity to make last minutre changes before I will then epublish at Smashwords. I really hope we will garner more reviews this time!

I'm really happy to hear that this has taken off and has actually been put into effect.

    Congratulations to all involved!

Might I make a suggestion and instead also make the book available on Amazon kindle? I understand profits might be an issue to deal with, but the overall item would be published by SBH while it still allows for the other writers to be able to submit their works on their own in Amazon if they wish.

OK - quick update here. I am in the finalising stages of formating and have suddenly noticed that I seem to be missing 'Heaven's Descent'! Thokran, if you have already sent this to me, can you send it again? I don't remember with all the hassles of starting a new job and so on if you did or not! Thanks.

As for the progress, apart from 'Restoring Rome' which alas was sent to me in an inappropriate format and needs to be re-sent again and 'Heaven's Descent', we are only a couple of days away from publishing the first draft for approval here as before!

We will now be totaling 8 AARs with 2 new ones so this is very exciting. If I can get the remaining 2 back to me within a few days, I would look to have the draft up here by the weekend and then e-published following revisions by the following weekend - that is, 1st/2nd Sept. Volume One has been downloaded an amazing 209 times since it was epublished on May 20th. That is an amazing total and I would look to see Volume 2 equal that. Reviews are still an issue however so hopefully we can accrue more on the second volume.

As far as Amazon kindle, you cannot put up a volume for free alas - or at least I understand that to be the case. I don't want to charge for this as I feel that will open a can of worms re payment issues and accountability. By making it free, we are garnering goodwill both among the readers and among ourselves, I feel! But - having written that - if there is a way to do it without charging, then Amazon kindle would be the next step.

I am afraid I will have to let this project rest awhile, Shankbot. Work is very demanding at the moment and I have very little time to spare. I had hoped it would lessen somewhat but it hasn't happened. If anyone here wants to take over the role of editor, I can PM them the password to the Smashwords account and that person can work on formating Volume 2. It is a shame as I had hoped this would take off. My new job is very intensive, though. To be honest, I can't see it relaxing anytime soon as the moment I finally get to grips with it, I am given more work/responsibility.

Being as it is also minimum wage, at the moment, it is really taking it out of me.

Sad to hear it, but these things happen. Good luck with work, and I hope they have the sense to up your wage.

    Sent you a PM.
