I“m going with Venice. Seeing them expand like that on their own is very rare, and I“m guessing your treasury is because you have a lot of troops (and had the crusade called so that you could pillage around in the holy lands).

heres what happend:
i attacked HRE after capturing Iasi and Bucharest captured Vienna then offered them peace (pope asked for a cease) then i could get to sofia 5 turns long cause of a venetian guy blocking my path killed it then attack sofia byzantines had it for somereason the same turn i besieged it ( oops ) they demanded vassalage i denied, they stopped attacking me afterwards, venice also demanded it and since they stole vienna budapest i accepted otherwise id be dead
after that they betrayed me and got bran i then recaptured bran in turn 43 and soon thereafter budapest had fallen to me aswell ( oh and venice also captured prague from me , idk what happend with it)

Grr! I was so sure I was on to something with the HRE. Well played sir, not a single soul suspected you and you even gave hints to help people out due to the atypical progression of your campaign.
