There are a few confusions regarding files in the imperial_campaign folder which should be in the maps\base folder. But it doesn't solve the problem.
This might take a bit. Checked already if the RGB codes agree with the colors in map_regions.
I checked the RGB codes over and over, I hope I didn't miss anything.
Thank you for the help, anyway^^
I found one little error in the regions map, a grey pixel in the violet region. Fixed it but the mod still crashes as soon as i press START.
That one gray pixel would have been enough to cause the crash. Did you delete map.rwm after you corrected it?
I deleted all the regions except one in Geomod and found a total of two graphic errors. Check the attachments for their location. The second picture is most likely about your gray pixel. The first picture will be difficult to determine as it is nearly the same color. Sample the color from the middle of the region and then draw approximately at the spot of the wrong color. To chekc if everything has been covered, simply click on th earea with the 'magic wand' (Select by Color Tool)
Thanks for your help, but, still, nothing has changed.
So, while GeoMod shows the region as in picture one, there is no pixel error in this area. I swapped the colors in this area to see if the wrong pixel would stand out, but they do not. Appearently there's nothing wrong.
Deleted map.rwm twice (I forgot to do so before), but again: nothing changes.
EDIT: still, swapping colors and returning them to normal solved the display problem in GeoMod. But the mod still crashes.

There are some files in the imperial_campaign folder that mess up things:
map.rwm
descr_terrain
descr_regions
descr_disasters
Delete those and the map.rwm file in the maps\base folder if it is still there.
You will now end up with this error:
You need to place the port pixel of that region in a valid spot in map_regions. (Your map_regions is most likely not synchronized with map_heights)Code:07:53:22.777 [script.err] [error] Script Error in mods/Noervkhust/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt, at line 61, column 1 Settlement specifies port, but this region is not allowed a port - can be ignored, but port building will not be created for settlement! 07:53:22.777 [script.err] [error] Script Error in mods/Noervkhust/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt, at line 61, column 1 could not create settlement at script line 61.
Attached the corrected (colors corected, not port) map_regions file.
I think the problem was something else:
I had some cities that hat port buildings, but no port assigned in map_regions.
While I don't geht the "Uh oh..."-error anymore, whenever I hit start now, nothing happens. I can see and move the ME2-cursor, but as soon as I click anywhere, the game freezes and Vista asks me, if I want to terminate the program...
EDIT:
However, if I minimize the screen and maximize it afterwards, I'm back at the first page of the singleplayer dialog (Campaing, historical battel etc). According to the log, a player.txt ist missing. Can't find it, however
I do not get the error message you described.

Hanging\frozen: if you have worked with Geomod, then you might have overlooked the small advice regarding the text\historic_events file in the manual:Originally Posted by The Geomod Manual, page 5
After following your instructions, the game doesn't hang anymore, but it immediately goes back to the singleplayer screen. Log still says, player.txt is missing.
Due you have error level set to error or trace?
Trace.
Check the log for entries with [error] in the line. Simply press Ctrl+F and enter [error]. Usually this line gives you the position in a file, the line underneath gives some more information. Remember the errors I found:
Code:07:53:22.777 [script.err] [error] Script Error in mods/Noervkhust/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt, at line 61, column 1 could not create settlement at script line 61.
Suddenly most of my towns and characters are in invalid positions, according to GeoMod. Thats strange, because after checking their positions last time (with the tools GeoMod provides), everything was fine, except for one or two messups, I corrected immediately.
What are the restrictions for towns? On which ground types are they allowed to be placed? Couldn't find it in the Manual.
