Yes there is one, Diadochi toal war.

The beauty of it is that it runs on 1.5, 1.6 and 1.9. Though it's better to have atleast 1.6 or it will be extremely buggy. I've played it on 1.6 - fun and challenging.

i think Roma Surrectum 2 would give you a good enjoyable challenge as the Romans for example at the start of the campaign Hannibal is in Italy and thats a challenge and there is a large Roman rebellion

Well, I couldn't say it's equal to eb in accuracy, but quite accurate. It felt quite balanced between accuracy and gameplay.


And what do you mean by non-english? English is the language of the internet.

EDIT: Just ran an AI campaign, and Thrace ended up duking it out with the Julii for Mediterannean supremacy. Go figure.

Indeed, Carthage does quite often conquer Rome by 240 bc.

Hm.. I would like to know wich mod is the better, Roma Surrectum II or Europa Barbororum 1.2?? I've got one of those damn limiters on my downloads... 5gig a month or something.. Anyhow. Wich one do you prefer and why..! Thanks beforehand.

If you like extreme accuracy go for EB, if you prefer fancy units RS2 is your choice.

I like it better than LotR TW because it is more lore-based, not movie based.

Although, Lotw TW does a great job at interpreting the movies. Actually, it's better than the official games, imo

Both games (I have actually played both I downloaded Lotr:Tw and was moderatly impressed)

Lotr:Tw does a fantastic effort at Reproducing the books and movies and is well done in terms of balence and attention to detail. I thought the battles were excellent and the gameplay (albeit slow due to the scripts and my laptop) was slick and polished. BUT

What Fa:TW adds to the above, with the expense of the flexibility of scripts is more fleshed out long term game due to having a much more expanded Trait and Ancillary system and a surprisingly concise and playable expansion to the Lore with a rational explanation for why everything is where it is and why it is.

They are both Niche games. Both do the jobs they set out to do

Realistic to an extent, but closer to vanilla than anything else.
