Yeah I know. I'm just reading slowly so I don't have to interrupt the series by getting into another book. I just can't read more then one book at a time because it just bothers something in me, might be OCD. :\

I hope the TV series will be good, it's a very detailed series and not exactly for kids or maybe even teenagers so I hope they can do it justice.

I Just got started, and so far it's every bit as good as I thought it would be.

    That's a good one.

I am currently reading Waiting For The Sun. It's about the L.A. music scene.

I was reading Patriot Games and Rainbow Six (both by Tom Clancy), but I kinda lost interest in reading those. I just wasn't sucked in as much as Eragon and His Dark Materials (by Phillip Pullman). I'm also reading Gates of Fire (which is an awesome book), but I need to read more fantasy books (because I'm writing one of my own, and I need to make up something original).

Man, I haven't read Goodkind's books in over 2 years. I'm guessing every Goodkind reader notices my name. I need to get back to reading them. I remember how good they were. I couldn't put them down! I haven't read anything past Soul of Fire!

Anyway, I'm currently reading Hannibal by Theodore Aryault Dodge.

I'm reading the Longfellow translation of Dante's Divine Comedy.

I'm halfway through Purgatorio, hopefully heading towards Paradiso.

As a Catholic, I find this delightful reading, in addition to the wonderful prose Longfellow grants the entire series.

I'm re-reading Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series, and David Wingrove's Chung-Kuo series.
Also re-studying William Cooper's Behold a Pale horse.
Finally, just finished reading Baby Arrrgh!ette's new play stove assembly instructions. Yeesh! That's like trying to read the Latin side of De Bellum Gallico while drinking soju and smoking a water bong!

Finished reading HP on sunday, so now I've gone back onto reading Mortal Engines (I can't stress enough how good this book is). Before those I was reading Deception Point by Dan Brown.

Currently addicted to Warhammer 40k novels, these books are so insanely good. As of now I'm still steamrolling my way through the Ultramarines Omnibus, which is the Ultramarines trilogy in one edition. I'm still on the first book, Nightbringer and it's absolutely lovely. I cannot wait til I get to the next 2, Warriors of Ultramar and Dead Sky, Black Sun.

It's written by a Scot named Graham McNeill, and he is absolutely amazing. This man can write battle scenes like you wouldnt believe, and the way he describes things is amazing as well.

    Definitely recommend.

Finishing Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett and will start Bernard cornwell's Grail Quest series.
The Silmarillion was shite. I read about 4 pages and I was bored out my mind. The writing was clumsy and it read like the Bible.

Yes Manfredi's books were good. Though a tad expensive. Hard to find second hand.

I just finished "The fall of Carthage" and now moving on to "In the Name of Rome", both by Adrian Goldsworthy. Just history reading for me now, I have to get my history knowlegde up by the end of summer so that I can spend another school year arrogantly displaying my superior knowledge of most things to my class mates

The novelization of Taken, the show that was on Sci-Fi, then I'll probably re-read Stranger in a Strange Land.

I am proud to admit that I have not seriously read any modern fiction for the past five years!

I'm being drawn slowly more and more into theological books and historical books. I just can't deal with that weak sauce modern fiction stuff anymore. I feel like I'm wasting my time.

Currently reading A History of Warfare by John Keegan, a slow read but very fascinating.

Anyone ever read Good Omens by Gaiman/Pratchett? Brilliant stuff.

Ah! Pressfield is a great author! I've heard of Virtues of War but haven't read it.
