Any, I'm not fussy, from cadet up to full service man! Its all valuable, even if people just know the correct way to order something or how much ammunition a soldier carries in such and such military its cool.
How is the BETA anyway? I have not downloaded it yet but I'm just wanna hear something from the others. Is it possible we can get some in game screenshots of this stuff? Good job btw

This happened for me as well, but what I did was just use the mod manager to launch the game.
The thing many of you are waiting for, the American roster has been reworked and decided. I will post it here later on. Last minute suggestions and feedback would be great please.
America will be in the next release. Guaranteed.
US roster,
JSOC Team: A four man team of elite operatives specialising in CQB situations. They are the primary "Snatch" or assault troops in special forces raids and come from a mixture of Special Forces Wing Delta, MARSOC and SEAL teams. They are armed with Model 733's and carry a 12 gauge Benelli.
SEAL Patrol: A lightly armed and equipped 16 man patrol force intended for long range reconnaissance akin to those carried out by smaller UKSF teams. SEAL Teams have the advantage of numbers yet lack the training of other American or ISAF Special Operations Forces. They are armed with M4 Carbines and EBR's. - Removed after AUPP
US Army ODA: A 6 man team drawn from US Army Special Forces designed to act as liaison officers to local forces such as the ANA. They are armed with SCAR rifles and provide a morale boost to friendly units.
Green Berets: A 12 man patrol of skilled soldiers who specialise in setting ambushes, counter insurgency warfare, hearts & minds, and the training of local forces. They are FAC capable, and carry M16A2s and a unique M25 SWS.
US Rangers: The US Army Rangers are the primary support group for forces such as Delta. They operate in 9 man "chalks". Rangers are used as light role infantry. They carry M16A2s and a unit M249 SAW.
MARSOC: MARSOC, formally Marine Force Recon, are a special reconnaissance unit under the USMC branch. They operate in 8 man teams and are armed with M16A2s and a unit M39 EMR. FAC Capable. - removed after Marine AUPP
10th Mountain: A 8 man squad of specialised mountain light infantry. They are tough and experienced soldiers, although they are regular infantry rather than a Special Force. They are armed with M4 Carbines and a unit M14EBR.
US Airborne: A 8 man squad which represents units from 101 Airborne, 82nd Airborne, Air Cavalry/Air mobile, 25th Infantry, and 173 ABCT. They are exceptionally well trained and hardy men, but lightly equipped light infantry units which lack support weapons and not considered to be elite. They carry M16A2s and a unit M249 SAW.
Marine Expeditionary Force: Standard 18 man Marine Corps twin section of light infantry. They are regular, albeit it, well experienced infantry force famous for being poorly equipped. Interestingly, their unit sizes are slightly larger than Army counterparts. And all officers carry M4 rifles as "Every man is a rifleman". They are armed with M16A2's/M4 and a unit M60.- removed after Marine AUPP
US Army Infantry: A standard 16 man twin section of regular US Army infantry. Compared to other Western forces their training is lacking, however their high resolve and gun ho attitude give them a huge morale boost. They are armed with M16A2s and a unit M249 SAW.
GPMG Team: A three gun section equipped with a pair of M240B’s on a tripod mounting for precision fire, and an M240B with a bipod to support and range the primary gun.
60mm Mortar Team: A mobile team equipped with the fast firing and multi role M224 mortar and the 3 man crew can resort to their M4 Carbines.
81mm Mortar Team: A team equipped with the harder hitting British L16 81mm mortar. However they are unable to move due to the large size of the mortar. They can dig in their mortar if needs be and the crew wields M4 Carbines.
Javelin Team: A skilled pair of Javelin operatives which provide US Forces with a good anti tank and anti fortification capability. They also carry M4 Carbines.
US Special Operations Sniper Team - Generic sniper team representing those used by Special Operations forces. Armed with the powerful XM-50, they have extremely long range and serious knock down power.
US Army Sniper/spotter: A pair of skilled soldiers armed with the M24SWS and a spotters M21. They are capable of engaging distant objects effectively.
Designated Marksman: A section marksman armed with the new M110 SASS Rifle which is based off of the M14. The shooters skill is noticeably better than the rest of the squad. Yet does not rival the sniper. They are used in a supporting role and engage usually to suppress between 400 and 800 metres..
M2 Browning HMG: The powerful .50 Calibre is an excellent anti personal weapon widely used in the US Army and Marines.
Future USMC AUPP or Micro Faction
DEVGRU Operatives: Formally known SEAL Team 6, DEVGRU are the US Navies primary Tier One force. They operate in 4 man teams are carry SCAR rifles with an M14 EBR
SEAL Assault/fire team - Members of the US Navy seals, skilled in direct action and reconnaissance. They operate in a 5 man fire team, and are armed with M4 Carbines. They are highly skilled but their small numbers make them vulnerable in extended operations. Also can hide anywhere and hide while firing.
MARSOC: MARSOC, formally Marine Force Recon, are a special reconnaissance unit under the USMC branch. They operate in 8 man teams and are armed with M16A2s and a unit M39 EMR. FAC Capable.
Marine Expeditionary Force: Standard 18 man Marine Corps twin section of light infantry. They are regular, albeit it, well experienced infantry force famous for being poorly equipped. Interestingly, their unit sizes are slightly larger than Army counterparts. And all officers carry M4 rifles as "Every marine a rifleman". They are armed with M16A2's/M4 and a unit M60.
USMC Weapons Squad – M60
USMC Sniper/spotter: A marine sniper team armed with the M40 rifle. They operate similarly to other American sniper units
SRAW: The SRAW is a rocket launcher carried by USMC to breach walls and doors. This unit consists of a 3 gunners operating around 1 tube. They also carry M4 Carbines.
Possible US Ranger AUPP? Ideas required.
AUPPs (Additional Unit Project Patch) Are small patches that add a few extra units to each faction. For example, the British will have an AUPP giving them Estonian and Danish infantry and armoured units, the US will have a Romanian AUPP,
The US Marine AUPP will be so large that it might warrant a separate faction, once vehicles are in game, each factions roster will be huge.
The Ranger AUPP, if we decide to have it, or if its wanted will not be on the same scale. But will add a few extra semi elite units to the US and possibly the UK, Germany and other major factions, as from what I can gather, special forces are pooled and rotated standby.
There will be a Task Force AUPP making special forces available to represent this, albeit in a reduced form.
there will also be fun AUPPs, one which will include units like the Ghosts, TF141, Rainbow Six, and other famous units from games and films or IRL, such as Green Beret Cavalry. We even plan to include a unit for the Taliban, Dave the failed suicide bomber donkey IED thing! (A long, true story).
________________________________________________________________
Beta 0.5 will include 4 full factions minus support options. A blood mod, night battle mod, and much more, including bug fixes from 0.1. And a new command unit for the Taliban.
I'm confused. I installed it and I thought I did it correctly. And when I run it it works. It says "Advance to Contact" at the top of the main menu but it is the graphics and stuff for Empire. I tried to play a custom battle using the United Kingdom against the Taliban. The Taliban's unit cards just look like the light infantry from ETW. Also the UK's unit cards looked like modern soldiers. The loading screen looked good and it had a modern quote so. But all the British soldiers just looked like the light infantry from ETW. I don't know if I installed it wrong or if this is actually the beta so let me know please. Thanks. I also don't know if the two scenario battles were suppose to be in the beta, I'm assuming not. THere are also no different maps. It looks like a good mod and I have been anticipating its full release for months.
We haven't done any unit skins yet, we are looking for a skinner. However any skins we do will be basic until the models are made and imported in game. Perhaps we can edit the ISAF skins as much as we can to give them the appropriate camo's. Unit cards for some British units have been done, but for no one else as yet. There are 5 new maps in the next beta, two should already be there bringing a total of 7 unless I have remembered wrongly.
Thanks for your feedback
