Thread: Death penalty Yes or No

Default Death penalty Yes or No

Do you think that there should be a death penalty. why? or why not?

I think there should be a death penalty, because murder in the 1st degree is a horrible crime. Once convicted the murderer should be immediately taken out to a designated execution place and shot.

Why is murder such a horrible crime?

Because an innocent person's life was ended by another person who had no right to take that life and it wasn't in a war time situation where he was an enemy combatant?
It has been surmised, that perhaps, my lord had become like a wild animal that had been kept too long. Perhaps, but whatever... freedom... so long an unremembered dream, was his.

I think execution should be pretty much immediate for murder and rape--- and probably many other things-- basically we have plenty of people life is simply not that valuable why not execute them is the real question.

I strongly believe in the death penalty. In fact my personal feelings (lets hope I never become a law maker or anyone else who makes these rules) are that if someone is dealt the death penalty they do not get the chair, the noose, or the injection but instead are killed via the same way they had killed an innocent person.

Example: a man stabs a woman to death with a buck knife, stabbing her in the chest 3 times and then slitting her throat. Thus the man, when properly proven guilty and given the death penalty is then taken and publicly executed via 3 stab wounds to the chest and finished with a slit throat.

Also, they should put executions on TV. Sounds harsh and borderline immoral but what better way to encourage people not to screw with your judicial system then showing them in full color what the penalty for certain crimes are.

I also believe they should bring back lashings and such instead of fines.

    in some cases yes

i dont see the point in sending someone in for life, if their never going to come out theirs no point keeping them alive because they just waste money and a whole lot of time

When one has lost his innocence through the taking of an innocent life (or non innocent but without authority given to them by the people) and thus requires retribution.

So it's about revenge with you? Fine.

But it's about crime rate for me. And the conviction rate has a lot more to do with the crime rate than the death penalty ever did.

You already have the death penalty in the US, don't you?

There are plenty of people I would like to see strung up, but we don't have the death penalty in Britain and it's never coming back. At least not in my lifetime.

it really doesnt matter tho death is death is death-- the execution is the same as the abortion technically both are killing a human being--
