Default Big FPS drops iin battles and sieges with a high end pc

    hello,
So i've got an i7-10700K at 3.8Ghz CPU and an RTX 3070 GPU. When playing medieval 2 in battles and sieges however, the pfs quickly plummets from 100 to 30-50, and thats around 2k units in the field. Sieges are even worse.
the campaign map, however, is very smooth at constant 100 fps.
Does anyone what i can do to fix it? I've already applied the LAA patch. I'm also running at the highest setting (not 'highest' unit settings).

Usually it happens with mods as the unit textures as well as the model meshes are oversized. In sieges the building textures add to the lag, regardless if they are default or modded.

Have a look if you can really see any difference in the top unit detail settings - simply reducing the setting by one level might already help.
This should help for the settlement textures.
I followed this video recently and had some very satisfying FPS results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eFnUQFFcXo
