Launching With Steam ?

Using RTW gold through steam, not played RSIII in a year. I have it all installed but I can't remember how to properly launch it. Do I clsoe steam and then run the .exe as admin from the steamapps/common/ ... folder ?

That method still opens steam, and I'm sure I used to load it without steam launching.

When doing it this way I can't play a new campaign, it just gives me an option about launching a custom battle or something.

Edit: SOLVED

In the steam/steamapps/common/tome total war gold folder, where all the RSII install files are there was a launcher folder. I just had to use the launcher, which bypasses steam. Forgot that part.
