It's not possible to exclude trade resources from being used other then setting their value to zero - but that would exclude them globally.
ok thanks
Some provinces like Valencia, Stettin, Smolensk, Bran, Bucharest and Thorn have no trade ressources. I ask me why? Was it simply forgotten to implement trade ressources into these provinces? Or does the trading system need some empty provinces to work properly?

I cannot figure out how to get the resource values to change, I've tried editing several different values in the descr_sm_resource.txt file but nothing seems to work the values always remain unchanged. Can anyone help me out?
The game will only read custom files if you use the file_first entry in your game. Try using my Bare Geomod mod folder set up and edit the file in there.
Awesome,
it took me a minute because I'm new to this but I've figured it out now, and it's great. I've been trying to make things work for a good month now and always run into issues, and this is finally helping me do it. Thank you so much!
Hi.
I tried to copy the Crusades files into Bare Geomod but it did not work.
I am trying to change the value of resources for the Crusades mod.
What would be the best way to use Geomod for the Kingdoms campaigns, like the Crusades, so I could add resources as well.
Thank you!
Like I posted in a similar query - check in Medieval II Total War\tools\Geomod\M2TW_files for the mod you are looking for and then copy the files from there into the DLC mod, eg americas. After that you should be able to edit the mod with Geomod.
If you want to play the mod then with your edited files simply install my desktop shortcuts and then use these to start the mod - they make the folder mod compatible.
Thank you! I got the mod working.
I tried to edit the gold value from 20 to 200 but in game, nothing changes. So, changes in descr_sm_resources are not working
Basically my plan is to add more resources to the map using Geomod and increase resources values from the data folder file.
Is that even possible?
Thanks again.
Let's do it step by step:
1. Is this the crusades mod we are talking about?
2. Are you using my desktop shortcuts to start the mod?
3. Have you copied the content of the Medieval II Total War\tools\Geomod\M2TW_files\mods\crusades directory into the Medieval II Total War\mods\crusades directory?
4. Are you using Notepad to edit the TXT files like descr_sm_resources? If not which editor are you using?
Hello!
Thank you! I followed these steps and I got it working, I think
