Mainly because I want a playable serbian faction
Mainly because I want a playable serbian faction
Alright.
I guess it is better to have more factions at the start then wait for 200 turns for another to show up anyways.
holy moly! I cannot wait! haha sweet!!!!
Do the devs here need any assistance with misc stuff that do not require modding skills?
Like, I could research how developed each settlement should be in 1300AD or something.

Edited out comment.
Type of settlement was in the given list.

After starting with the list, I noticed that the city of Acre in Galilee should actually be replaced with a nearby castle, Safed;

Ok I'll think on that, Acre could remain as a minor settlement next to the port of the province...I could fix the minor settlement revenue script
I updated my previous post marking which settlements are cities and which are castles
Mamluks razed most of the old Crusader fortresses but kept some forts on the coastal roads to keep an eye out and patrol. Antioch, Damascus, and especially Aleppo were the biggest cities in the area in this period though Jerusalem and some other cities were still important.
Nice to see someone still working on this. Gah, I remember those days when I had that much free time to mod- miss it a bit but it was a looot of work!

Sneak peak
Top tier stuff, the Mongols look so threatening on the map.
The province makeup is still in the works I suppose?
I see that there are a lot of differences from the map made by Marius...and that the Latin Empire is still there
Yeah most factions still have their 1220 borders xD, working on that
Being focused mostly on the mongol factions for now
While testing the golden horde I realised how tedious and boring can be playing on that part of the map xD, they do have the rus principalities at hand to expand and conquer but moving troops from the farther edges of the map can be such a hazle, so I added a trait that increases a bit the movement points of your named characters if they start turn in one of those steppes regions...which should help the cumans have a better performance in the early era as well, speaking of which I turned the Cumans into a Horde faction, haven't tested them but they'll be playing normally until they loose all their settlements which then will allow them to still roam around as the nomads they originally were, pillaging and whatever...you'll have to hunt down their family members to truly destroy them...and if that happens they could still come back with the Re-emerging script...hehe
Speaking of the re-emerging script I tweaked it a bit as well...added a bit of randomness when choosing which faction would re-emerge in the odd event that multiple factions were trying to do so in a same turn, which allowed me to lessen the restriction I had put for preventing a single faction abusing the script.

Makes sense for the Mongol armies to have increased movement.
I believe the Mongol factions could be made more interesting by making their lands more rebellious, or somehow focusing one against the other so you still get a major threat(one vs the other) when playing with them instead of just the Rus or the Mamluks.

High Era died?
I hope not!
