No seriously, I clicked twice, still the resolution is too small.

Though I guess you get a much better performance out of this game with that kind of resolution...

well...I play with 1600x1050 or something like that...I only cut out the interface for the screens

you can't entirely get rid of it completely in replays

Great video! How did you get so close to the soldiers on the deck? I also didn't know that the pirates are using this old style ship, at least it appears a little old...^^

I used the debug camera and I gave the pirates a fluyt and a race built galleon.

got a new one...fraps seems to screw up the framerate badly though

Nice vid. Bad framerates is normal, I haven't yet encountered a computer that is capable of both saving this huge amount of data the video recordning uses to the harddisk while still showing the same ingame performance.

In most games it even HALFES the fps, which is definitely deadly for a performance-hungry game like Empire. Fire- and explosion effects are espacially stressing the graphic card. ^^

Some new ones from a MP battle I played a few minutes ago ^^ (btw...why is there no more ranking?)

The Prussian advance.


It was a very dangerous manouver considering the heavy fire from the british howitzers.


But the discipline was stronger than the basic instincts.


The French allies of the Prussians were suffering a similar fate.


Their advance was quickly intercepted by the Austrian troops supporting the British.




The Prussians however kept pushing forward.


And the British waited for them.


And opened fire as soon as the enemy came into range.


It was a grim day. Families were torn apart.


However the effects of the gunfire were treacherous.


The Prussians advanced to get their revenge.


The British units in the forest however could calmly retreat in the cover of the shadows of the trees and the smoke.


The British and Austrians won the day losing not even one third of their armies while crushing their enemies leaving every fifth of them alive.
