If you are interested in making a intro video please let us know. It is a ways off but it would be nice to know we had someone that could do it if needed.

Just noticed that no one answered this...

Progress is very good, actually. Gigantus has been doing great with the unenviable task of coverting units, y2day has been making a bunch of 2D art and other projects, Heathen Storm has (when he has time) been working on units, and I have been translating and text editting my butt off. I can't give any sort of time-table, but a beta release should only be a few months away.

It won't be until after the beta release that real work will go into making major overhauls to the mod, such as new factions, recruitment/unit overhauls, graphical updates, and other such major work.

    Update 14th November 2012

Heathen Storm has joined us and is looking into unit modelling stuff - like those shields cutting into the necks of the horses. Seether has has nearly finished the translation bit and is busy working on the traits. Gigantus is continuing to convert unit models and doing some (minor) bug hunting and Y2day has been doing more of his graphic wizardry.
We are crossing fingers that a beta release will not be far off, the biggest hurdle is the amount of model converting that is rather time consuming as involves several steps (models, textures, sprites and text files) and individual testing.
Beta release will not be far off, YAY!

We have been hibernating over the holidays, but work should commence shortly. It's just extremely dreary converting all the battle models.

What still needs done? I dont really have much modding experience but im a huge fan of the three kingdoms era and would like to help if possible. I have an exam in two days but after that i should have plenty free time to help.

The major bulk left is the conversion of the battle models from RTW to M2 - time consuming as it is full of little traps.

Is there a timeframe we can expect work to be completed by, or will progress be haphazard? The community is very supportive, of course, but not much has been going on for the past few months.

It is slightly haphazard - more then 200 models and 500 EDU entries need converting, never mind the related descriptions, textures and sprites. At times the gratification doing it approaches the levels of making number plates or gluing paper bags, so you will forgive if I can't give a time table.

I so envy the modding team, creating such a find work of art. I am patiently waiting (and will continue to wait patiently) for this marvelous mod to be released.
