Part II
Pompey's Rome
A new campaign as Sextus Pompeius Magnus on very hard in the Emperor edition of Rome II - the Imperator Augustus campaign pack - in the hope of being challenged. Here is the summary of the early part of the campaign and a few battles.

Nice campaign footsoldier with some nice battles and good commentary! Well done. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about harder campaigns in vanilla, an official campaign pack or a mod such as DEI. The Emperor's Edition seems like a walk in the park, at least as the Romans.
Here are some more videoclips from my Pompey's Rome campaign. I am still hoping for a tough land battle against the AI. I had a decent naval battle though, which I should hopefully post in the not too distant future.
Pompey's Rome campaign
Very hard difficulty (well, not really)
Blockade of Carthage and sea battle 29 BC
Ambush at Genua 27 BC
Battle of Patavium 27 BC
And here are some thoughts about the campaign AI of the Emperor's edition of Rome II.
The AI is particularly unable to put together decent armies with good units. Diplomacy is too easy, as already at this relatively early stage in the campaign Pompey has alliances with Mark Antony and most of his allies. There were no attacks on Pompey when he was in Rome with the only army our faction had. There were also no attacks on our undefended regions, the islands of Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica or Italia.
