    Death and Taxes 7.0 Released

    ~Download the 7.0~

    Why is this called the 7.0 and not the 6.6?
    Although this isn't a massive overhaul compared to the last version, it will not be compatible with old save games due to map and claim timer changes. It also contains a massive amount of bug fixes, so I wanted to encourage more people to download this update by calling it the 7.0.

    A call to arms
    Whilst this should be fairly bug free, we still need your help. If you can find any bugs, we'll never find out about them unless you let us know in the bug reports thread - so please do.

    • Removed duplicate effect in decisions/religiousconversion.
    • Irish and Egyptian nation decisions fixed so they now correctly give manpower.

    • Potential capitalisation error in decisions/polishdecisions and decisions/romanempire fixed.

    • Removed some redundant lines of code (hashed out) from events/AEcleanup.
    • Fixed all 'neighbour_province' scopes in events/MalayanConversion.
    • 'Revoltrisk' corrected to 'revolt_risk' in events/MalayanConversion.
    • Fixed wrongly coded 'has_country_modifier' in events/MalayanConversion.
    • Fixed extra 'owner' modifier in events/RandomEvents.

    • Fixed incorrect war exhaustion scope in events/RandomEvents.

    • Revoking settlement policy now correctly decreases prestige (fixed missing owner scope).

    • Buildings are no longer instantly lost when a land connection is broken - they are removed after about 10 years.
    • Fixed Spanish monarch names to be historically accurate (thanks to Freddy Arguera).
    • The integrate granada decision isn't available if you are the lesser in a union or are a vassal.
    • Removed unnecessary 'AND' clauses in decisions/germannation, decisions/iberiannation and decisions/japan_stuff.
    • Fixed uppercase 'HRE' and 'TAG' in decisions/francecores and decisions/lotharingiannation.
    • Fixed 'monarchy = yes' to 'government = monarchy' in decisions/england and decisions/lotharingiannation.
    • Added the 'Porto Franco' event modifier.
    • Egypt region name typo fixed in decisions/egyptiannation.

    • Removed duplicate 'is_lesser_in_union = no' and 'is_subject = no' from missions/irishmissions, missions/sardiniapiedmontmissions and missions/timurid_mughal_missions.
    • Fixed several personal union missions in missions/aragonese_missions, missions/french_missions, missions/kalmar_missions, missions/polish_missions, missions/sardinianmissions, missions/savoymissions, missions/spanish_missions ('is_lesser_in_union' fixed to 'junior_union_with' in appropriate places).
    • Fixed some serious issues with missions/kalmar_missions.
    • Fixed an impossible 'MIL = 10' modifier in missions/spanish_missions.
    • Fixed an impossible 'ADM = 0' modifier in missions/trade.
    • Fixed broken core gain effects in missions/colonial_malay_missions.
    • Fixed 'IRL' tag to 'IRE' in common/triggered_modifiers.
    • Fixed 'KED' tag to 'KDH' in decisions/malaccannation.
    • Reduced the level of negative defensiveness for offensive nations.
    • Removed unnecessary 'AND' clauses in common/prices, common/triggered_modifiers, events/grin-random_leader, events/holyromanempire and events/randomevents.
    • Hordes nerved quite a bit (+50% fl to +20% fl).
    • Hordes no longer get the 'Holy War' or 'Religious Liberation' CBs to make them slightly less aggressive to their Christian neighbours.
    • The Strait of Malacca toll now requires Siak and not Albania - which was required due to a typo.
    • Tepehuan, Chinook, Kalapuya, Jujuy, Coahuila, Idnakar, Tobolsk, Tara, Surgut, Koda and The Azores no longer start with trade goods, but now with unknown.
    • It is no longer possible for Portugal to form spain however it can form Iberia. Iberia and Spain can't form if the other exists.
    • Several Californian province capitals altered in the history files(thanks to Sheridan).
    • Artois and Valenciennes removed from the Netherlands region since they're French.
    • In the late game all American provinces now start with trade goods as opposed to lots of them being unknown.
    • In-Extenso now only fires for Chinese and Tribal nations.
    • Indian trade company gets removed if your capital isn't in Europe.
    • East Indian Trade Company now only gives 0.2 merchants and 10% compete chance. Dutch EITC also gives similarly reduced bonuses.
    • In-Extenso cleanup event added to make the new version compatible with previous 6.x saves.
    • HRE gives slightly less manpower and forcelimit.
    • Prussian Military Reforms don't give such a malus to manpower.
    • Tondainadu is now correctly controlled and owned by Britain at the appropriate times - rather than it just being occupied.
    • Unnecessary Vorpommern-Stettin strait removed since the provinces already border.
    • Human Majapahits gets until 1425 before the collapse events.
    • Majaphit starts with a core on Demak.
    • Majaphit starts with 2 galleys to give it a degree of naval superiority.
    • Latin military reforms nerved ever so slightly.
    • Forming the Roman Empire requires the Ottomans and Venice not to exist.
    • Max province sale price halved.
    • Promoting neo-confucianism doesn't have any faction requirements.
    • Fixed an unnecessary success trigger in missions/portugese_missions.
    • Broken manpower trigger fixed in event 6307 (recruiting crisis) so 'max_manpower = yes' is now 'manpower_percentage = 1'.
    • The Austrian 'Subjugate Bohemia' and 'Subjugate Hungary' missions requires both Austria and the other country to be monarchies.
    • The Byzantine 'Recover the Balkans' mission now successfully removes your claim on the balkans upon success.
    • The 'Convince Elector' mission now aborts if your ruler is female.
    • 'Conquer Ireland' and 'Unite Ireland' now remove your claim on Ireland upon success.
    • French 'Annex Alsace' and 'Annex Lorraine' missions now give cores.
    • Polish missions to conquer Danzig and Warmia will now correctly fire if you aren't at war with the Teutonic Order.
    • 'Portugese Colony in Indonesia' mission now correctly removes your conquest cb on Indonesia upon success.
    • 'Scottish Control' now removes your conquest cb on the Scottish region upon success.
    • Swedish 'Conquer Halland' mission will now correctly abort if you are the lesser in a union or a vassal.
    • Mughal 'Break the Persian Border' mission now removes your conquest CB on the Persian region upon success.
    • Mughal 'Defeat England' mission now removes your conquest CB on English provinces in India upon success.
    • Artillery is very slightly less expensive (30d > 28d).
    • Tahiti is now correct religion.
    • Separation of powers can only be enacted by Constitutional Monarchy.
    • Manchu culture can now form China but not the Altaic version.
    • Qing can now perform reparations to the great wall as well as build the forbidden city.
    • Fixed the ghost islands in the sea - a VERY big thank you to CanOmer for altering the map overlay file for us.
    • Poitou starts as a core of France.
    • Claim timer fixed (finally).
    • 'Provinces Owned in Ireland' fixed.
    • 'Form France' now correctly shows up for England.
    • SCP and NTP now only require 10 placed merchants because of the new merchant gain system.
    • Mercantilism gives 10% GTIM and 'East Indian Trade Route' only gives 10% GTIM rather than 20%.

    • Steppe Horde renamed to Khanate.
    • AI Jin can't change its culture to Altaic.
    • Jin's capital moved to Tangshan.
    • Steppe Horde Mod Manchurian tribes integrated.
    • Qing and Manchu get the union core cleanup event on Manchuria.
    • Manchurian tribes start shamanist but once the Qing dynasty is formed events fire to start converting the population to confucianism and a decision becomes available to convert.
    • All the Jurchen tribes start as Chinese technology but with Nomad troops.
    • Fixed a bug in the 'Form Qing' decision which turned you into a despotic monarchy and a celestial empire.
    • Forming the Qing dynasty no longer gives cores on all of China but instead gives a Chinese unification cb.
    • Formign Qing now requires cores.
    • Manchu gets provincial decisions to raise large regiments once every 10 years if it is at war with a neighbour which is larger than it.
    • Green Standard Army decision nerved considerably - it also now requires you to be at war with a larger Chinese neighbour.
    • Jurchen tribes can't form the Mughals.
    • Use mongol bow localisation problem fixed.
    • The Great Wall can't be built if you own Manchuria.
    • The Great Wall is now only available in the correct place (ie fixed for the new map).
    • Non-core Manchurian provinces will continually rise up against Chinese oppressors.
    • Byzantium and the Ottomans start with less cores but whoever holds Constantinople gains a conquest CB on all of Greece and Turkey.
    • Coastal COTs give half as many colonists.
    • Jalyrids no longer start with cores on Van and Bitlis.
    • Forming the Roman Empire now requires cores.
    • Base revolt risk of -2rr with non-accepted culture giving +4rr and cores giving -1rr.
    • Increased the rr from negative tolerance.
    • Fixed position errors and missing provinces in India.

    Where did the musket sounds during the battle sequence come from? Im thinking back to when I had version 5.5 or something like that (not sure if they have changed with recent versions)

    They are the best musket sounds and I'd love to know the source.
