I've made this new thread so we can have a clean start.
Here are the installation & playing instructions again:
Here is the list:
The Romans - Luke Vader
Arverni - Sadlogic
Scythia - Dean Martin
Belgae - Thracian Princess
Macedon - Evalation
Ptolemaic Kingdom - Ferdiad
Seleucid Empire - Julio Claudian/Simon Bar Kochba
Carthage - Smerka
Parthia - Nightmare Moon
Cimbri - Anthropoid
Dacia - Siimus Maximus
Sparta - Predator1994
Pergamon - DedlySerious
Gaelici - Foster34
The Romans - Luke Vader
...
So, what does that mean? Quite easy:
I started the campaign, and uploaded my save. Now we check who comes next - sadlogic, playing the arverni. He will download the save, and play his turn.
No one else does anything! Once he finished his turn, he will upload his save - and again we check who comes next; Dean Martin now, playing Scythia. He will play his turn, and again no one else does anything!
He uploads his save, we check who's next ...
The list was determined by ingame-factors, so don't blame me ...
Important: I kinda forgot to include the Scythians in the backgroundscript. Everyone of you has to download the following file, and put it in: (Your RS folder)/Hotseat/data/scripts/show_me
You have to replace the old file, otherwise it won't work!
Also remember the rules:
- No cheating!
- No reloading your turn.
- There is a time limit of 24-hours - You have to play your turn & upload the save before the time runs out; otherwise the AI will play your turn. If you know you are unable to play, you can name someone to play for you.
- You have to autoresolve every battle against a Human, and post a screen of the battle results. You are free to play a battle against the AI on the battlefield, though.
I have attached my save to my post. It is for sadlogic, because the next turn is his (see above).
Note that I attached a zip-archive. This is because TWC doesn't accept .sav files. To unzip it, you need the freeware 7-zip. If you don't want to pack and unpack your saves every time, you can just upload your save somewhere else - like Mediafire.
Also a clarification on the taxes: You may notice that the AI will change the taxes in your cities. But this is no problem - Taxes are paid when you end the turn; and at this point, the AI hasn't yet changed them. You probably have to set the taxes in every settlement anew, but at least you get the correct amount of money.
I hope I didn't forget anything. Oh, I did:
Good luck to everyone. Hopefully we have a bug-free campaign and lots of fun.
IMPORTANT: Do not luck at other saves. That, too, is considered cheating!
