Well.. since Skyrim just came out I figured we need a thread dedicated to everyone's characters and their adventures.

I have just one RULE, and that is anything pertaining to the main storyline or other larger storylines in the game concerning other factions and what not be put into spoilers so that others won't have that part of the game ruined for them. We could also create another thread for that if need be.

Here is my Dunmer, Ralen Indarys upon arrival in the outskirts of Whiterun.

I was sneaking around in some random cavern. Some kind of creature in there has a bow that kills me in one shot, so I resurrect. This time I send in a familiar first, so I can get a couple of shots off. My familiar gets stuck on a rock in front of me, pinning me between itself and the wall of this tunnel. Yay. 500+ hours of crap pathfinding to look forward too.

Later, Skyrim absolves itself in an archer duel at some tower on a mountain. 2 bandits with bows. The first runs behind cover and begins ducking down, standing up and shooting at me. Pins me behind a pillar while I try to peg him. Meanwhile, the other archer flanks me from the left, gets behind a tree and almost kills me before I can find him.

Can i ask how you get the camera round to take a picture of your characters face? I was trying to remember how to do it, but seem to have forgotten.

just go to the external view, don't move and leave your weapon in the scabbard and you can rotate the camera with the mouse.

Just press f to get into third person, then zoom around your dude

I posted this in the main Skyrim thread a couple days ago. It's from the early adventures of my too-curious-for-his-own-good Argonian Walks-In-Snow.


A valuable lesson learned in Giant encounters:
