You don't keep installers for mods you download? Then you will come across this problem more often. I doubt it's only those two files.

Edit: correct - it's descr_strat as well. Use the attachment as described in the enclosed ReadMe.

    Attachment 281503

Tip: do read those ReadME files carefully the next time, (there is a reason why they are called by that name) the original said in capital letters to make back ups of these three files before installing.

I feel with you where hard drive space is concerned. 1TB each, external and internal and still it's getting tight. I have started burning movies to DVDs or simply deleting them if there isn't a chance that I may watch them again - that cleared up a hefty portion.

Hi, I have a quick question which I feel ought to be more clearly addressed at the beginning of this post ...

perhaps I am being slightly dim here, but the instructions for this install seem to contradict the ones on the russian website and here - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-FIX-for-1-5-1!

I have indeed gathered that the above version is slightly different to giganticus' ... I think ... and also I have tried to work out which is most recent from the dates but it's confusing.

anyway, I downloaded the one from those links, which is about 5 gig, same as it says here ...

But, the fixes/patches appear to contradict & I don't want to mistakenly install a superseded patch.
I.E. the other pages say install:
    rodg 1.5
    then patch 1.5.1
    then eng. voices,
    eng. menu,
    eng. translation
    then fix for 1.5.1

but this giganticus page refers to a torrent file, and has seemingly contradictory instructions i.e.:
    Patch 005 - (version 1.1.00) - 223MB

    • - Combined all previous patches and quick fixes
    • - enabled battle editor
    • - Added adapted patch 1.5.1

Yet this patch is smaller than the 1.5.1 on the other site.
also I have a file called '1.5.fix.7z' which is 32.8 MB & which I've foolishly forgotten where I downloaded it.

I am sure it's an easy explanation I just can't see it; please can someone enlighten me.

I have tried to download the four zip files but no luck. After the first 7 zip file none of the will work with 7 zip or WinRar for that matter. I've tried redownloading them but no luck

Summary - forget everything from the Russian version if you are using mine, they are not compatible. If it isn't listed (patch\quick fix\optional) on the first two posts I will not take responsibility for your installation.

The "Rage of dark Gods" main download does not contain ZIP files, see first line.

This is a stand alone\reworked version from the original - exactly because of the problems just stated. So either do the Russian OR mine.

    1. Pre-installed complete download of all files, patches and fixes up to 23rd November 2012 is available at Totalwar-forum. Simply extract the four 7z files into the mod folder and create a desktop shortcut of the 'Executable.bat' file.

Is what I was referring to, I tried the torrent but that information was lost when I edited my post, the torrent no longer works (for me at least).

    I also tried
Alternative 'regular' download of all files is available at infracta.de - 100kbs for guests, 500kbs for members

But there are ~15 files there and I'm not certain which ones to download, and when I attempted to download one anyways I received an 'insufficient information' message.

    Is this just me?

Cheers Gigantus, thanks for putting this all together.

    Ah yes, my bad.

I can't vouch for the download at totalwar-forum, never tried that one. Looking at the file names of the downloads (eg Rage_of_dark_Gods.7z.001) I would think that you only need to unzip the first one - the rest should automatically extract. You may have to use 7Zip instead of WinZip.
Right click the one numbered "7z.001" and choose '7zip\extra here' - after that move the Rage_of_dark_Gods folder into the medieval ii total war\mods folder. Last step will be to create a short cut: right click the 'executable' file in the Rage_of_dark_Gods folder and choose 'send to...\desktop' - replace the generic picture of the short cut if you wish.

The download at Infracta contains all the individual files from the torrent, simply follow the instructions here once you have downloaded them all.

Every time I launch the mod a load screen comes up for a second and then it closes and a window comes up saying there was an unspecified problem and that it is now closing. How can I fix it?

Check the 'error' reporting section in the first post and then report again.

Did you install ALL 3 parts of the main installation into the same directory?

    Greetings all
This is my first post on this thread as I've managed to sift through information to get the mod running rather successfully but have now encountered a problem that I cannot find a fix to, I believe it's a fairly common fault that doesn't seem to have a fix, am hoping something's been found though:
I know about the error log reporting but am not at my computer to do it now but will do it later, for the meanwhile I'll explain the problem in the hope you'll know what I'm on about:
Am playing as the Sylvanian families and reached turn 62, when I click on end turn, after the other factions turns, it gets to the rebels go and crashes to desktop with the 'Sigmar preserve us!' prompt. from what I've read about similar (or even the same) faults, it's a problem with scripted events that take place at the beginning of my turn.
I don't keep a back catalogue of saved games so can't go back any further than this turn, is my campaign at an end without resolution? Has a fix been found? can I edit any of the script to bypass it?
When I get home I'll run the log, but if you can help then that would be awesome, thank you
