    It's a pack file, you can put it in or out whenever, it won't mess up your campaign.

    I htink ( tried and observed) it works on the full version also. But slows down cavalry so watch out for your generals.

    Any chance of a version that doesn't slow the cavalry down as much?

    It will work with any savegame and you can swap the versions (20% or 30%) reduction. In the next version I will introduce a minimum speed for difficult terrains, so units moving through rivers should not slow down too much.

    I don't think cavalry is at a disadvantage because of the mod. The relative speed advantage over infantry is the same as in vanilla SH2.

    Archers are a more powerfull since they get more volleys of before an enemy can reach them. The best solution is to probably to give all units more armor and (1-2 points; this will also lengthen melee combat a bit) and increase the reload time of the projectiles by about 10 percent. However, the tables for both changes are not yet accessible. Also not yet modable are the movement speeds of ships.

    What program did you use to edit the battle entities i cant in PFM it cant read it, i also cannot edit it with notepad so what did you use?
    I want to make the infantry move 30% slower but the cavalry 20% slower

    thanks yarkis. bought the game yesterday and the 1st thing i noticed in my 1st battle was the abnormal speed of the units. i thought i had the game on ff. used you mod last nite and movement is 100% better. perfect.

    Is it possible you could do a second mod of this, with no speed reduction for cavalary at all? It would be appreciated, I have no clue how to work it out myself.

    I reckon a 5% or 10% reduction for cavalry would be just right.

    I'm using the 20% movement reduction and for infantry, it's perfect. Horses need a separate 10% mod for me. The sound of the infantry marching is slightly out of sync with the animation now, but that's a small price to pay for slower infantry.
