sheesh..this is making me want to bring over a personal submod i did for EB adding Greek Leadership, but tweak it a bit more with things like "Athenian Mora" available in Athens, "spartan Mora" in sparta, etc etc...wouldnt necessarily relate to the units makeup, but where the army was originally recruited (entirely possible to have Athenian hoplites in a Spartan Mora, but, its up to the player to RP that aspect).....whatcha guys think?
EDIT: Also, if anyone knows what the required specs for the ancillary images are, please share! (cant be having Legio X for the Athenian Mora hehe)

Tried the mod, drecie14, it's actually working in my Rome 0-turn save. What bothers me is that the ancillaries (spelling?) do not seem to be tied to a building such as the Roman Fortress or the Curia Hostilia. What I mean is as soon as I installed the submod and tried the save, the governor of Capua got a Legio ancillary. Problem is obviously I have no named Legios yet. Any way to work around that? Or maybe I didn't install right? Is this intended, drecie?
oh no...it wasn't intended to be like that, it should only appear after you have built the fortress and the curia
i guess it isn't save game compatible
it does work with a save game but this sort of thing happens...
wonder why my save game works perfectly though
i'll find the problem and hopefully release a new version
Thanks for the quick answer, I don't believe I'll be starting a new campaign just because of that, yet I'd like a quick solution - for instance removing the submod until I get the reforms and only then installing it again may work..
Or maybe I should reapply the submod?
What do you mean, your savegame works fine? I mean, when you started using the submod, were you also playing a 'pre-reform' campaign?
Is this causing the 'mess' in my campaign? I've noticed that it's not completely broken - I only got one ancillary - the VII PF one. The other characters in Legio settlements do not gain Legio ancillaries.
I'll give the update a try, thanks for the hasty response, +rep to you!
With your permission, drecie14, I'd like to add this to the next Patch I'm working on. That way it will save having to reinstall it for everyone?
However, I'm not wild about the bonuses this offers.....+3 Command, movement points, influence, etc. I really don't see why being made the Commander of a Legion would give all of this. Afterall, there were some pretty poor legion commanders....Marcus Licinius Crassus, for example.

Thats what I thought too drecie ! ....
+1command, 1+morale, 1+influence is plenty when having in mind battle balance and the default movement points of units in RSII.
I think the bonuses have to be reconsidered...maybe you where a bit overenthusiastic when you wrote them...!?...
