EDIT: I'm refining the poll question a little: Out of all the genres, which do you like the most.

Just curious as to know the musical interests of the TWC community.

Myself I like Rock: stuff like Guns n' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age etc.
Can't stand R&B or rap *spits*

Hard to put my tastes into one category. There's alot of Rap I do like, though I find the vast majority of it detestable. I like classical music alot (Mozart's 40 is just splendid). I also like Johnny Cash, Guns 'n' Roses, older Metallica stuff, and the vast majority of 80s Rock.

I knew I should have put a gelatinous cocktail of musical tastes answer lol. Only problem with doing that is I find that people just select that, making the poll a little lacking in a definitive answer.

Most poeple, with the exception of teenagers who consider choosing which music they like a sort of ritual thing (like choosing which gang to hang out with), have a vast amalgamation of music they prefer. *tongue*

My tastes lie in the area of Classic Rock. Pink Floyd, Eagles, Steppenwolf, ELO, Credence Clearwater Revival, Eric Clapton, Blue Oyster Cult, etc. This is the music I like.

It's difficult to tell you what my fav. type of music is. I'll just put a list of the type of music I listen to:

Reggae: Bob Marley, Ziggy, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs.

Classic Rock: Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix

Punk Rock: Sex Pistols, Leftovercrack, Subhumans

Classic: I love violins. :p Mozart, Kandinsky, Tchaikovsky, Schubert

Alternative: Nirvana, Oasis

Soul: Al Green, Ray Charles, Edwin Starr, Marvin Gaye

Arabic: Amr Diab, Ibrahim Erkhal, instrumentals

Gypsie/Moor: Gypsie Kings, Al di Meola, and other instrumentals

Spanish/Latin American rock: La Ley, Jarabe de Palo, Soda Stereo, Juanes, Estopa


Can't classify groups like the Beatles, Sublime, etc, cause they covered different styles of music. They are awesome too.

The only time I really listen to music anymore is when Im driving...I dont have any at all on my computer here, and every single CD I own is sitting on the backseat of my car.

Anyhow...basically my entire life (the parts that count, anyway *tongue* ) Ive been a fan of 'classic' rock. I went to my first Pink Floyd concert, The Division Bell, when I was 14 or so (hm...I may have just turned 15) and never looked back. The Beatles, Zeppelin, The Who, Grateful Dead, the Eagles, Rolling Stones....just goes on and on.

Ill be seeing the Stones again on their latest tour (11/29/05 - Dallas, and 12/01/05 - Houston...Ill be at one of those, dammit), and Robert Plant is also gonna be doing shows pretty soon here as well for his new CD, although I dont know if he'll come anywhere near San Antonio :sad .
