    Hello to all
    I am sorry that I haven't replied to any of you guys, but I was away for some days [I was on vacation from my work].
    The thing is that I am very proud that many of my fellow DLV players liked the project.
    Anyone who can give his help is really welcome!

    I suppose that if we do some good work here, then repman might think about including our Units' Cards Project to any next version of Deus lo Vult.

    I gave a long winded sermon on why original unit cards should be made for DLV-only, for many good reasons. But after taking a few hours to download some "artistic" tools and search around the internet, I realized:

    1.) I am not an artist, nor do I have any interest in trying to become one.
    2.) It takes a lot of time to create a unit card from scratch (for me it would at least)
    3.) As much as I would like to see DLV have it's own unique unit cards, I don't have the skill or the time to pursue this endeavor.

    Honestly, I guess I would rather play the game than waste hours of time trying to convince myself that I had any artistic talent. I would love nothing more than to see DLV specific unit cards/skins, but with the work involved, I don't blame anyone for not wanting to do it.

    There is no need to ask for permission.
    Just don't forget to give credits to the people involved.

    The first task was completing the Byzantine roster.

    Every unit of the Byzantium faction is done.

    Firstly I think they're great, I could be wrong but I think it's impossible to have more than one unit card per unit - I hope I am wrong because it would be awesome. If I turn out to be right about that then I think your idea of using an upgraded model for the card is a brilliant idea. Those upgraded peasants actually look like they could kick some ass

    From my experience, this is true - we can not have more than one unit card per unit.
    I just made two versions for every unit, so that the player is able to choose which version he/she likes most.

    Whether you upgrade armour or not the unit can NOT have a different unit card.
    It is NOT POSSBLE.
    The only thing you can do is RENAME the files with the _ug1.tga extension in the faction folders, in order to see the unit cards you like best in-game.
    For example:
    Go to your
    Medieval II Total War\mods\DLV_ext\data\ui\units\england folder
    You will see that there are two files for peasants:
    - #peasants.tga
    - #peasants_ug1.tga
    DELETE the #peasants.tga [or rename it #peasants.tga.bak]
    RENAME the #peasants_ug1.tga to #peasants.tga
    The next time you load an english campaign your peasants unit will have the second unit card [the one with upgraded armor]
