A modification for LotR:TW v2.04

You could strike down Mordor with those mighty generals like Elendil, Isildur and Gil-galad. Or may be you can write the history of middle earth a second time, taking the armys of Mordor lead by Sauron himself at the top of his power and smack down the young kingdoms of gondor and arnor.

sry,that some parts of our current beta are in german. that was a mistake while coding switching between languages and didn't mention that. the version 1.0 we are actually working on, is completly in english, but will also translated into spanish and german

I like the idea of the mod but making it only compatible to alexander will make it lose popularity.

There may not be alot. I hope it wont become like the mass roman mods we see though.

there are quite a lot differences, but never the less lotr:tw is our base. it is even another scenario, play in another timeframe (2nd age insted of 3rd age, its like roman timframe and post roman timeframe). different factions, different ancillarys, traits, many new models, campaignmap size doubled and...


alexanders is here in our stores for 10 bucks, so i think as we make this mod for tolkien fans and fans of this nice strategy game, they got the 10 bucks.
there are also ways to get it otherwisewe like having unique strat_map models for generals and the other features that are offered by alexander

Well you got Fourth Age to compete with. Your gonna have to prove to me that this mod is worth me buying alexander considering not many mods that I like use it.

even lotr:tw made by wles and his team is worth buying alexander, my opinion.
also the next version of zangou:tw is coded on alex.

i dont want to compete with fatw. why should i? its even another scenario. the moders of their teams often helps me, when i got silly questions and also the mod donated so many hours of excitied playing to me last winter.

Fourth Age in my opinion is the best LOTR one so you should try to compare yours with theirs.

what do you mean with own ideas?

i also dont think that fatw is the best lotr mod, its just one of several scenarios. when i want to play the conflict of the ring, i play lotr:tw and may be when campaign work tough i also play me:tw, but if i want to play a conflict set later on in the 4th age in tolkien universe, then i play fatw. and i will have a lot of fun with all of them. as you say you dont have alexander, means you could not play lotr:tw. so i think you couldn't assess which mod is better than another. like saying chicken tastes better than beef, but never have tried to eat beef^^

i give prestige to every modder who spend many ours of his freetime into a mod and brought it to an end. also in the end i dont really care if anybody likes our work or not, as i know i will have much fun with. until now we spend uncountable ours of work on this mod, moding is our hobby to get a clear head after our real work, i like to see something growing, its like playing with lego
