Thread: Upcoming courses

  1. #1

    Default Upcoming courses

We hope to run two or three courses before the new year, each a series of three lessons hopefully.

Please vote for, or better yet, tell and explain, what courses you would like to see the most.

I'm interested in whatever concerns photoshop, so I voted for a 2d course.
However I could try get into any of the other courses if no experience is required.

I'd like to learn how to do some modeling, doing textures from scratch (Not just retexuturing existing stuff like I already do but actually making the texture and putting it on the model) and learning some animation would be cool too.

I voted modelling, preferably for or with Milkshape included.

Other than that, I would as well like to learn about creating textures from scratch. I would take most of those courses though if offered,

I am putting some stuff together for a mapping class as we speak, look for an announcement soon.

I would also like to see something on the Cin Editor and making movies out of replays, complete with sound and music.

I would like something like Java or Visual Basic (there was a Java class started by CNSW, but he is inactive now ...), if only because I need to learn how to program if I have any hope of passing computer class at school. If not, how to use photoshop would be nice.

Does Professor420 know any programming languages?

oops were we only meant to pick one? Voted everything except mapping (as have done rather too much of that) - though if you could ever get someone to explain Muizers' battle map tutorial, and similar things in words of one syllable....

Scripting would be what I'd put as other, as haven't got into that and it seems not quite as predictable as you'd hope for editing straight text file.

Environmental / building stuff would be interesting as there is little written about it.

Modeling / animation if it can be done in milkshape I'd be interested in joining.

Textures / photoshop I'd like to view more of but probably wouldn't join.....

I voted for texturing, photoshop in general, and mapping courses. A good texturing class to follow up on Prof420's class would be very useful I think for those of us who went through his tutorials.

oh, silly me, I didn't actually understand that you meant TW mapping... I though you were referring to UV mapping in 3D max... lol, well, it made sense to me based on the other options...

I'm interested in textures and modeling, might join some modding team if it will be necessary after the course.
