Fog of war _ Need help

I tried to do a quick search on the topic but it dident show anything,

What i want to know is how you enable fog of war in the game
is it possible too do it in the "medieval2.preference" txt file or do i
have to use the "Cheat" thing
when i am in the game and if so, how do i enable it.

I am using euro/Skandinavian keyboard.

Not familiar with that keyboard, but if you figure out how to bring up the console (the ~ key in the U.S.) just type in toggle_fow.

There is a key to open the console if you are using an european keyboard. Just can't seem to recall which is it. I know as there have been quite a few old topics regarding this in the past. Go visit the twc cemetary area and see if you can dig up any posts in the archive.

I saw a thread with a list of keyboard types and console access but I cant remember where. I also looked in Options/Keyboard Settings and its not even listed, was hoping I could point you in that direction.

I also read someplace that Shift # works on some keyboards, might try it.

Then type in...

toggle_fow

And hit Enter

Not for me. I have tried every key, every key + shift, every key + ctrl and so on. so basicly any normal and any combination I could think of. but still no. so I guess I'm SOL

hey zowrath i think i got it working, after a long try and error thing.
iam using a danish keyboard and the key
that i activate is called (Æ) on my keyboard that should bring up the
console.
however if you are using another key board except skandinavian it
might not work. but try it

Yeah, it was the Ø key for me. I dunno why it didn't work the first time around. I am happily modding now :-)
