‘South Park’ Creators Offer “Apology” To China, Dunk On NBA Controversy In Process
This all comes after the latest episode of Season 23 where the character of Randy Marsh, Stan's dad, tries to sell weed in China and gets thrown into a Chinese prison and forced labor camp. Then he makes amends by agreeing to kill Winnie the Pooh for Xi Jinping in exchange for being allowed to do business in China (since Winnie the Pooh has also been banned in China due to comparisons to Xi Jinping). Stan also starts a death metal band but all the lyrics and their band biopic gets censored by Chinese government officials who fly to South Park, Colorado from Beijing to oversee censorship standards. Side note: Stan's new death metal band sounds kinda good.Originally Posted by Deadline, quoting Matt Stone and Trey Parker's "apology" to China
