Universal background check doesn't exist. Mental health check doesn't exist. Training for using a gun is not a requirement. So, no. What I want is not something that exists for decades. Of course they are not fine. There are still states that have unconstitutional limits, like preventing citizens from carrying weapons for self-defense or in regard to specific firearms or mag limits.
There is no practical need for universal background checks. As for the training, it should be mandatory part of high school diploma along with survival skills and well, basic life skills.

Minneapolis public school teachers of color will have additional job protections this upcoming school year under a new contract that would allow them to keep their jobs rather than white instructors with more seniority.
The labor agreement’s intent was to protect “underrepresented populations” and keep the district’s predominantly white staff from becoming more homogenous, a report said Monday.

The agreement states that teachers of color “may be exempted from district-wide layoff[s] outside seniority order,” according to Minnesota outlet Alpha News, which published language from the contract Sunday.

“Starting with the Spring 2023 Budget Tie-Out Cycle, if excessing [reducing] a teacher who is a member of a population underrepresented among licensed teachers in the site, the District shall excess the next least senior teacher, who is not a member of an underrepresented population,” the agreement reportedly read.

I've played D&D and a huge Warhammer 40k fan. My female friends who play the prior have never felt ostracized. There are just things that appeal to each sex (not gender) differently on a biopsychological basis. Being against same-sex adoption in Italy (and most of Europe) is the majority opinion. A person is not far-right if she doesn't hold progressive views. Meloni is Rightwing, not Far-right. Berlusconi was to her right, I think. He was as conservative, more fiscally rightwing (very anti-union) and also more authoritarian (bullying newspapers etc and using his media empire etc).
And Silvio was not Far-right either; he was rightwing.

I suspect it’s similar to Biden denouncing Republicans as extremists because his party has nothing to run on in the midterms. I don’t know much about Italian politics, but anyone who is remotely in favor of reducing immigration and/or opposing the EU is going to be branded “far right” as a result, regardless of the actual views of the candidates, or how many times FDI publicly rejects the fascist label. As the liberal/leftist political establishment in the west lurches further and further left, they still see themselves as the center both morally and politically. Thus the other 90% of people are “far right” by comparison. And if the “far right” win elections, it’s because people are morally deplorable. The right has to justify itself through leftist/liberal framing if it wants a seat at the table. The left is simply entitled to it.
