should I add officers to a unit?
I just found out about it and wanted to know if some else than me likes the idea, here an example:

Ya! And for game purposes it looks like it will add a 'bodyguard' type of unit in the formation infront of the badly unprotected general (especially for non-cavalry captains). Good find
Wow nice going.![]()

I would suggest for all christian factions the officer should be for early troops the seargent swordsmen, for feudal unitl feudal knight and for late units a very late knight unit.
This would be the easiest solution cause every faction has already those unit skins.
Any opinions maybe? If you have any good ideas let me know.
[edit]
I added 1 officer to every melee and spearthrow infantery (some few exemption like peasants)
and to melee and spearthrow cavalry
I use the following models:
officer Byzantine_Lancers_ug3
officer Byzantine_Lancers_ug2
officer dismounted_byzantine_lancers_ug3
officer dismounted_byzantine_lancers_ug2
officer dismounted_byzantine_lancers_ug1
officer dismounted_byzantine_lancers
officer dismounted_feudal_knights_ug1
officer dismounted_feudal_knights
officer merchant_cavalry_militia_ug2 (looks like feudal_knights but with no spear)
officer merchant_cavalry_militia_ug1 (looks like feudal_knights but with no spear)
officer merchant_cavalry_militia (looks like feudal_knights but with no spear)
officer Druzhina_ug1
officer Druzhina
officer Hashishim

Cool cool, this may really help make a buffer for the A.I. liking to kill its generals so fast.
This was done in XGM to great appeal and success. Actually, late legions had 3 officers in XGM. This is a great idea Ramm!![]()

Maybe use the early general skin with another kind of helmet..
Bandwidth Leecher!
What I like about the officers is that it stops captains getting killed in a cavalry charge, also adds coolness factor.
As I recall, one officer held a Legionary Eagle, another held the Roman Standard, and in the front was a Centurion.
Might be cool to have an officer and behind him a standard bearer.
Great work!

adding officers sounds awesome
Yeah definitely. I loved the officers in RTW because they were so cool looking and were kind of the "Elite" of the unit. I was actually looking for a way to add them but I'm not that great at modding M2TW, so I'm really excited you're going to add them in.
great idea~!wonderful~!
