    Hello people.

    Im gonna be quick. I wanna know if there is someone that knows what could make the loading screen (that castle with some letters up and down the screen) and after some seconds it CTD, with no message. I looked up the logs folder and found a single file, that contains the following:

    Before someone talk of reinstalling, yes, i done it several times past 2 days (when i started to use mods, my first was BC, that caused me some troubles too, but finnaly i solved, including the problem with the original game, that wasnt loading aswell, but, again, i dont know how, i solved lol), patched to 1.2 (ofcourse, otherwise i wouldnt play BC) and done the unpacker thing then deleted the 2 files...

    Well, if there is an post that shows how to solve this, sorry, but this topic has a massive amount of pages to read lol.

    Anyway, thanks in advance and for reading the infos, seeing the shots, this mod seems awesome, keep up the good work guys.

    Okay, I tried this again with the Kwazhardians or whatever they are called (black heraldry Islam faction) and the same thing is happening again, this time when the Moors try to move at roughly the same turn in the game. Same error code and everything but I'm thinking that error code might just be mostly warnings. I attached a couple savegames if anyone wants to try and figure out what's going on.

    Had a look at them both.. turned on level = * trace in the cloudsacrosseurope.cfg file.. not sure what the problem is sorry

    I'm not very good with those tracelogs yet, there might be a clue in there somewhere

    Ok well when I start CAE I get to the loading screen but after a couple seconds it crashes back to desktop. Here is the log as well.

    Hi,

    I'm playing as the kingdom of Sweden, and I can't get past the year 1492 without the game crashing when I end the turn... Has this happened to anyone else and is ther a fix for this error?

    I'd really like to continue playing the game, it really is a great mod!

    hi guys


    I downloaded the mod and did all the requirments to luanch the game....

    but i can't luanch the game.....

    i double click the icon on my desktop but all i get is a small box that appears and disappears very fast all i know about it that it has white writing with black background..


    So, anybody can help me

    I have instal the 1.4B and the letters appear all wrong kind of scratch I can not see nothing ,sometimes it crash too its all buged the map appears with shadwos and black areas.Also whats the file of Baron Crusades?I suposed to put the file where?

    Hey I have downloaded this mod and i worked.I play as sweden but when the muslim calls a Jihad on Jerusalem and the moors takes it I get CTD.

    hey, I also have a problem as playing as sweden, the game crashes around year 1176 and I cant get passed it, someone please help me?
    I also downloaded the patch today.

    it crashes when its egypts turn.

    I have installed and reinstalled CAE and M2tw and the 1.2 patch about 5 times...and still there is absolutely no change whatsoever. Either the game will not load. The cmd square pops up for 2 secs and then vanishes, so the game never initializes, or the game will go into the initial loading screen, and then CTD saying m2tw has encountered an unexpected error. I have been dying to play this mod and would greatly appreciate any help whatsoever.

    Default No unit sounds

    I've been enjoying this mod a lot but, for me, theres a small problem: I'm playing with the Kimgdom of Jerusalem and the units have no sounds when clicked in battle (in the campaign map all units speak like the French faction)! Is this supposed to be like this or is something wrong? I tried other factions like Sweden and the same happens. Other sounds like the general formation command sounds, music, etc. are present.

    Whenever I play as Swden with the Clouds Across Europe 1.4 mod, When my first faction leader dies, my family tree resets to the Danish Family tree, which is dead and I cna no longer see my faction! How do I fix this!!!?

    People, first I must tell that I am really impressed with all the work you did, I respect that.
    Very impressive. You are fans, you don't have the budget that producers have, but what you have done is absolutely extraordinary.

    I am a fan also of Total War series, i played all the games of TW so far starting from Shogun of course and i loved almost all the add ons they released.
    Without your work, your wonderful work, the games would be good, but with your additions the game is closer to perfect.

    I don't want to be so boring so i will ask you to see if there is any way to get some help :
    I played CAE from the first version, now i am on the 1.4 realeased vers of the mods and i have some nasty problems.
    My comp config is :
    Dual core, 4gb ram, 9600 GT Nvidia chipset, gigabyte motherboard, win xp pro OS.
    Drivers of all my hardware is newest possible from producers and i keep my comp very clean using latest security software, reg cleaner, anti spyware, anti virus, firewall etc. All the panoply of Win these days.
    I play a lot of games and I don't experience CTD in most games I am playing.
    For the time being I have MTW2 Installed with patch 1.02 and without kingdoms ( i uninstalled trying to see of there are some connections between kingdoms and CTDs i experienced.

    Well, I play mostly with Princ of Wallachia (yes, I am from Romania) using these settings :
    - dif : moderate, battle dif : moderate, army Huge, best visual graphics effects, kingdoms installed, no other mod than CAE 1.04. Experienced lots of CTDs about year 1360.
    turns as year and turns value 1.0 (i edited the descrs.strat and this is the only value i changed)

    I uninstalled Kingdoms, MTW2, clean the reg,
    re-install MTW and patch 1.02 without kingdoms add on.

    Played with value year as 2, dif and battle dif as HARD, (CAE 1.04), i removed all the settings from Nvidia drivers that permited controlled aplications settings - bump mapping, texture filtering, vert sync, antisotropic filtering, anti aliasing, texture filtering, gamma correction all are off. I put the setting : override any aplications settings)
    Army size Huge.
    Show date as turns off (default cae descr_strat) and timescale 2.0.
    I played with Spain (cast and leon) and sweden until total domniations. NOT CTD AT ALL.

    Ok, exactly the same settings : England.
    Lots of CTDs in firt 100 turns.
    The game is experiencing CTD when Caliph Of Abbasid make its move.
    I tried to change everything in order to determine them to make another move : start a crusade against them or against their ally (Ottoman Empire).
    Tried to attack my ally, my enemy, ask nations to attack caliph of abbasid, change settings in DO NOT SHOW COMPUTER MOVES/SHOW, changed video settings.....

    Nothing has changed, the game crashes on their turn.
    I loaded an older saved game in order to reach the same date with different strategy...same result, the game crashes on their turn

    Well, I am out of idea.
    Regardless of your answer, once again great job people, absolutely astonishing what you created over here, the same way that CS was as mod for Half Life, Cae is for MTW2.


    If you have any suggestions, i will be glad to try maybe even if you can help me, we can help others.

    P.S. Now i am trying to play with same settings for video card, i just changed timescale to 2, army size to normal and dif and battle dif to moderate, playing England to see if other CTDs will occur
