How does one add back in to CAE the "movies" of assassins, spies performing their craft etc.? At present, the only movies I see are when Crusades are called.

Scamander as all those files extends the upload size of the mod as 1gb (no kidding I've tried that) I was obliged to left them out.What you need to do is to get them back is this:


1-Create a new folder named "fmv" without the quotations in the following directory:


Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\CloudsAcrossEurope\data


2- Copy the contents of this folder,and copy the following files inside of it:

Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\fmv

The files you need to copy and paste to the directory I indicated in the first step are these:

-assassinate
-infiltrate
-generic
-sabotage
-event

Now you'll have the movies when you are playing CAE...

With your updates: do they require a complete reinstall or do they simply go over top what is already their? Would I need to redo the FMV file as well?

hello Mod Creator


Just wanted to tell you, that i am starting with this mod v.1.2 now, playing Byzantine Faction `till the end and I will report you every CTD.
Just have been stopping to another mod crashing right after a few turns, as i see so far, this mod has been supported by you over month which is making me believing in NOT wasting my time....just keep up the good work

Back early, playing the Byzantine a crash happened by clicking at rebel faction attacking Sophia, i guess it has been a routed army or something else, this never happened while playing before.

that means, a unknown error happened...it has been while clicking at an unit that is sieging Sophia castle, have been out immidiately and could not checkout the unit.

Game is CTD,I was playing the Khwarezm faction when it happened.

I have a clean version of Medieval II Total War,1.2 & your CAE 1.2 version mod loaded.

You released this version on April 14, 2007.

Do you have a fix for this yet?

No the 1.2 was released for about 3-4 weeks ago. The one you have I believe is the 0.90 something versions.

Tell me more about your CTD and try to download 1.2 from this website.

I Downloaded the right CAE version.,,,1.2a

The game has crashed twice now,I was playing the Khwarezm faction in the campaign mode when it happened.

I dont have any other mods downloaded,and i have the retail Medieval II Total War game with the 1.2 patch.

I downloaded this mod because it was listed as the most popular file:

Well I don't have a fix for that, you'll have to wait til Zeph returns. But it might be something with your computer, or maybe when you downloaded CAE. Everytime you play as Khwarezm it is a ctd from the beginning? I suggest this

try to download everything from the start, I did it 3 times til it finally worked.
Try another mod and wait til Zeph returns on Wednesday.

I have unistalled CAE 1.2a,and tried a new mod called "Stainless Steel 4.1".
This mod seems to play well & I have not CTD.

i played a couple of turns as teutons i have the latest version of cae installes and a clean m2tw 1.02
Prob: a lithuanian spy appears on my territory -> if i click him ctd (missing sound file?)
in a previous post you said to download the english sound files..cant find a link and if i download them all units will speak english right?

suggestion/questions

double the movement rate/ at least from diplomats/spies/etc

Hi, awesome mod, but i downloaded 1.3 last night and when i try to play the grand campaign it crashes, it loads up and then crashes, ive reinstalled it and it still won't work, please help as i love your mod
