    What do you mean? Of course there are formations included in the mod. Namely Darth`s formations. And I think that an optional with Sinuhet`s formations has been added as an optional.

    You haven't selected groups of units. That's wh the formation buttons are greyed out. You need to select at least a couple of units the set up formations are avialable.

    I've got it , Sinuhet's formations are for the AI.

    Yes, but Darth has both files. Meaning both the formations for the AI and for the human player. If you install Sinuhet`s AI formations you won`t lose Darth`s player formations.

    I noticed some modders here have a preference for Sinuhet's formations. re Sinuhet's formations better than Darth Mod's formations in some aspects?

    I used to be quite the champion of Darth's AI formations, but from playing using Sinuhet's AI formations, I feel his are better in that the AI seems in my opinion to perform better in battles.

    For the player formations, I prefer my own player formations mod.

    I agree. Is RTRPE using your formations mod?

    No, its not directly in RTRPE, but I the most recent version is compatible with RTRPE. I check and update as necessary for each new version of RTRPE.

    Can I register a note of irritation at the Darth player formations?
    The Hellenistic army settings creates strange formation depths, units stretched out to two deep if 80 strong or 3/4 deep if 120 strong.
    Is there any way of fixing this, since I cannot figure out how to edit the file without visual references? (editing the descr_units is one thing, but this...)
    I tend to deploy my Macedonians in a manner to defeat the AI, which tends to try to avoid the phalanx if they can.
    Pk=Pikes, Pl=peltasts, Ar=Archers, TI=Thracians, Hy=Hypaspists
    HC=Heavy Cavalry, LH=Light Horse

    ------Pk-Pk-Pk-Pk-PK
    ------Pl--Ar-Ar-Ar-Pl
    ------TI----------TI
    ------Hy----------Hy--LH
    -LH HC-------------HC HC HC

    Not suggesting to use this, but it would be nice if I could redeploy
    the units with a little less fuss, it would be nice.

    FWIW, Sinhuet's formations actually allow a clash of battle lines, so your phalanx won't always be ignored. It'll be in the next version of the ExRM.
