    Default Archery rebalancing ... new descr_projectiles available?

    Dear Lusted:

    I am currently enjoying your mod and following the discussions on this forum, I remember that you said that you plan to readjust letality of the archers (accuracy vs. units number raised) to make them less dominant.

    Is there already a new version of the descr_projectiles available for download or can you post one? Because as far as I am concerned, this is all what lacks to make LtC 2.3 the mod to rule them all.

    (BTW: I like the new 1.5 years/turn style. But I have to admit, I modded the Mongols to pay upkeep to their recruited troops and to come with less then a gazillion stacks. They are now more fun to battle because if you have a small kingdom and restrained yourself in your expansion, you still stand a chance to survive the hordes. Otherwise you would need 20 provinces at least, to fund the necessary stacks to fend them off.)

    For now, I will play with all acc_vs_units times 1.5. That works for me. I am looking forward to your solution.

    Do you also plan to make the Mongols pay upkeep for their recruited troops?

    No i do not, i actually need to get a campaign where i fight them to see what i think of them.

    I am sure there is someone around who can offer a savegame to you, so that you do not have to play from the beginning on.

    There is a turkish savegame which I could offer, where they try to go through the Caucasus towards Tiflis, no battles fought, yet and only two of their generals assassinated.

    I'd offe some of my saves, but you'd probably go "why does he have -4000 gold and horrificly maintained stacks out way beyond his ability to control anything?"

    Interesting: With me, it is just the other way round.
    Why is every stack at full size, every town has markets and why are there only four stacks whilst owning 20 or so provinces. Guess you can really see different play-styles around.

    how do I add acc_vs_units times 1.5 to my game?

    I too find archers to be the thorn in the side of an otherwise great mod, especially as I have longbows!

    How does Lusted's descr_projectile file compare with the vanilla one from 1.2? IIRC the 1.2 final version was actually different from the 1.2 leaked and some accuracy_vs_units values had been commented in for crossbows and arrows.

    You open the desr_projectiles.txt and multiply every value in a line that contains "accuracy_vs_units" with 1.5.
