back to menu prob

Hello guys

a very quick question

i just installed the new version 1.9.10 with the addon but when i try to start a new campaign i am thrown out in the main menu.
i am pretty sure that someoned answered this one on the forum but i can find it.

Could you elaborate and/or be more descriptive? Take a screenshot of the last screen you're able to see and provide a step-by-step method of reproducing your error...

as i said. i installed the latest version of the mod along with the add on( i have the 1.2 version of total war)

I wanted to start a new campaign. no matter what county i pick the game will go back to main menu when i push the start button.

a screenshot will have no point m8. there is no error message or something.
i cant describe it better.
i have only the latest version of stainless steel mod. no other mods present.

EDIT :
I also erased the map.rwm file but nothing changed

A screenshot of the "choose your faction" screen would show me if hotseat is turned on (which may be causing it). When you select your faction, can you select more than one faction?

Are you using the retail version or an online version (Steam/D2D)?

i am not running the hotseat mode m8.

and its the retail version.( i have the original game)

I believe I had this problem or something very similar and it was directly related to the hotseat BS. If that's not the problem, then it sounds like something went wrong with the installation, there is a file missing or something.

Go into your The_Long_Road.cfg and make sure it has this:

[multiplayer]
playable = false

If that doesn't solve it, then try a reinstall. Other than that, I don't have enough info to do anything with. Perhaps someone else has had this problem and has been able to fix it.

I tried to unistall the add on but the unistaller messed all the Long road files and now i am dl the mod again. ill inform you in about an hour with the progress.

i will also try your solution.

nah . the same things happens. i deleted the long road completely then reinstall it , without the addon, but no luck.
after i pick the civ i want to play and push the start button the game brings me back to main menu.

i didnt have this prob with 1.9.9 version.

this is strange
