Free Slaves Alliance

Here is the question: Should we be allowed to create an "alliance" or to do strategic diplomacy with one of the "free slaves" factions?

I'm asking this because although I like the ability of this faction to build up...it makes it a bit unrealistic for me to build an alliance with them or ask them for the map information of all their settlements (which they gladly give me). I could understand in real life an alliance with a village or something...but not every "free slave" settlement in the world. I dunno. It was nice being able to create the alliance with them temporarily so that I could take over the Macedonian held city Corinth without having to worry about them (though they were starting to stack their armies a bit too close for comfort with me), and unfortunately I know it's impossible to do an alliance with one city/village and not the whole "faction" - but what do you all think about this "feature"?

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way to prevent it. I see you point, but all Free People should be treated as 'rebels', I guess. You can make peace, but shouldn't ask for map information.

Who says? But no...I wanted to see what their starting pos's were rather than using the marcopolo cheat or whatever it is.

How about giving the briton "free people" faction the same starting diplomatic stance towards the other factions that the slave faction has?
