Something strange happened in my Spain campaign yesterday. Leon got struck by the plague, and my garrison included a unit of Knights of Santiago. [Well, I didn't plan to garrison them there, they were produced the turn the plague broke out and I never moved to spread the disease.] I retrained the unit every turn to cover all the men that had succumbed to the plague, and after two-three turns something strange happened. I checked into Leon to retrain the garrison as usual, and found that I didn't have one unit of Knights, but five! The original unit had lost four men to the plague, but for each man lost a new unit had spawned.

Has anything similar happened to anybody else? Is it a SS glitch or is it something that's native to vanilla?
