--------THE RISE OF PERGAMUM--------

Introduction:
It is the Summer of 280 B.C. and our king has gathered our people and gave a tremendous speech worthy of Zeus himself!! He had declared that we have become Independent from the Seleucid Empire and war will be inevitable between us.. Enemies are all around our borders.. From the Rebels of Nicomedia to the Athenian and Argonian hoplites that have banded together to fight the rising threat of our most trusted Macedonian friends... but even they are willing to attack us to become the greatest nation in the Known world.. The problem for them if this becomes true, is that our hoplites, our FAMILIES will not let this happen. We have mustered men willing to fight for our King! The world has seen the wrath of the Persian Empire in the past but with our might, our Spear, and our Shield we shall Control the entire World and become GREATER!
FOR THE KING, FOR ZEUS, FOR PERGAMUM!!
--------------------
Waiting until the new hotfix is released so i can be sure my game is CTD free!
I was thinking of how to do my AAR and ive come up with this.... 1 chapter equals the Reign of one king and his exploits (Major Battles and Taking of Cities will be reported... So Enjoy!
Chapter 1: The Reign of Attalos
Part 1: The Fall of Mytilene
A few days after the King spoke to the people the hoplite army started to pack supplies, sharpen their swords and spears and shoulder their shields. Everyone around the city knew a battle would commence in the coming weeks. Where we didn't know but before it happened Attalos our king will inform us of this new venture....
It is the middle of month and the King is inspecting the army.. A couple hours earlier he had informed the entire city that he is retaking the City of Mytilene.. He said that this would not put the entire nation in jeopardy but it would make us greater.. We believed him like always since he was our King but we always had doubts if this was really true with the look on his face after he left.... but to no surprise he ordered his sons to take the army and fight...
It has been months since the Kings sons and the army left to take the city of Mytilene... There has been much worry since no messenger was sent to inform us of what happened.... But just a couple hours ago a runner ran into the palace and after a few minutes a royal messenger had walked out and called for a meeting.. He explained what happened....
"People of Pergamum, The Kings Sons, Chrysippos and Megadates, have successfully taken the City of Mytilene...(Cheer) The rebels armies were no match for our trained elite Hoplites and the Militia....
It was a great day to win since Chrysippos himself said he had a dream before the day of battle, a premonition sent from Apollo, in his dream it showed Apollo himself casting arrows at the city of Mytilene.... The Day rose The soldiers armed themselves with their spears and strapped on their hoplons formed their ranks and prepared for battle. Chrysippos gave the order to march toward the city with rams and the battle began..
the fall of the walls was the first goal that had to be done and it was done easily... Our hoplites flooded through the new doorways that were created. They easily surrounded the men protecting the wall and killed them all in a matter of minutes... The Enemy thought that they could contend with our strength but were wrong. They started to run, one by one each of their soldiers started to run away and before 3 P.M. the battle was over.. It was such an easy battle win on such a nice day...
Minor losses were taken and we must pray to Zeus that these men that were taken will live in the lands of the Gods for they deserve it since they sacrificed themselves for the Victory... For the King, For our Beloved NATION!"
Everyone cheered for the victory... I had a sense of patriotism.. Men around me were chanting "FOR PERGAMUM" It was not a surprise that the next day men were able to sign up to train for the Army. Even myself since a little boy wanted to become a hoplite but because of my Social status i could not but now with the new found wealth in the City of Mytilene men including myself will be provided the weapons and armor we need to FIGHT!! FOR PERGAMUM!
Part 2 Coming Soon!
(srry that there are no pics of the battle i was still thinking of how to do the AAR while i was playing)

Re: Rise of Pergamum - AAR - Count Flip
i chose pergamum because of the closer proximity it has to the eastern side since i usually like fighting in deserts.. plus they were greek and had the unique hoplites... and itll be alot harder to expand since im using a Very Hard campaign which means that if i fight the seleucids without any help.. every turn a few seleucid stacks will be at my borders
