    I notice you had the following included under the stables line of buildings:

                    recruit_pool "Mongol Bodyguard"  1   0.1   1  0  requires factions { mongols, timurids, }
    		upgrade_bodyguard 1 requires factions { northern_european, middle_eastern, eastern_european, greek, southern_european, }
    Does the upgrade bodyguard feature added in this way work? Previous attempts of mine to include this in the buildings file have always failed to get this to work...

    Also, does the AI recruit generals and how do they appear in the game? Are they just individual generals that can gain generals' traits, etc, but don't get added to the family tree, OR, do they get added to the family tree?

    Don't think it does, that's just leftover code from trying to get it to work.

    I don't know if it does because i don't really check, but if they do appear they appear as generals.

    It seems like they are just upgraded captain until they get a "Man of the Hour" thing, then they get adopted. Also, one can always marry them into the family w/ a princess.
