    Default A Little help

    i guess everybody knows that error with 1.2 patch : "m2tw encountered an unspecified error and will now exit". well i when i've downloaded that patch i had it to,but later i was able to fix it with crack. but now this error occurs me when i'm trying to enter TLR(yesterday it worked just fine),however vannila still works. any ideas?

    If I were you, I would go into SEGA/Medieval_II_Total_War/The_Long_Road/Data/World/Maps/base and delete the file map_rwm. This should solve your problem. It's a common one, and it happened to me before I started testing, tonight.

    ok,i tried it....no changes still, vannila works,but TLR :m2tw encountered....

    Torn, it's quite stable on my machine ... no CTDs at all (after I went in and deleted map_rwm). But I'll be interested in seeing what you do on 1.9.10!

    Sorry the "quick-fix" didn't work. It's the most common cause of the "unspecified error" CTD.

    NP,you've tried to help. it sucks...i'm realy eager to play it,made minor changes to faction names,colors...

    arnas, edit the_long_road.bat, and delete the --io_file_first thing

    and then delete the two *.sd files from */the_long_road/data/ui directory

    also a clean install is necessary

    thanx. Firstly i will download 1.9.10 ,if that doesn't work i will try that

    ok...i'm tired of this....the same thing one day the mod works,the other it doesn't....and Again unspecified error at the begining. any ideas?

    Thanks for the clarification ciciocle! I was deleting (moving) the .sd files in the standard data folder, not the TLR data folder. Everything seems to work a lot better now.
