    Default About unit rebalancment

    First of all, let me say that appreciate much the work that has been done about unit rebalancement in this last version of LTC, vannilla has become unplayable after the shield bug fixed in 1.2.
    However, there is a thing that I don't understand. Don't you think that some ranging units are too weak in melee? Yes, I know that that is because they were not treained in melee. But take for example musketeer. They have an attack value of 3 in melee, just like paesants. Should they have a more high value, only considering that their melee weapon, the sword, is probably better than the forks used by paesants?

    No missile infantry are mostly meant to be weak in melee.

    Yes, I don't mean that thay should be powerfull in melee, only a little bit less crappy. Take for example musketeers and pesants archers. They both have 3 in melee, by musk. has swords, p. archers has knives. A sword should be more powerful than a knife, if both are hold by untrained hands. Just my personal opinion

    Yes, but your forgetting that musketters have a very strong primary attack, so they get a weak secondary attack to balance them out.

    I havw only one small request about unit rebalancement, and I don't wnat to start a new thread only to ask it. Is it possible to import the unit balancement of LTC in Vanilla using the unpacker and repalcing some files? In other threads I've heard talking about something called "EDU" but I didn't understand what it was or what it is used to.

    If you want the LTC unit balance in vanilla, copy the export_descr_unit.txt file(commonly referred to as the EDU by modders) from Medieval II Total War\landstoconquer\data to Medieval II Total War\data, and then add the following to the bottom of medieval2.preference.cfg(you can open it in notepad).

    [io]

    file_first = true
