    Default meditation

meditation is perhaps the only practice shared by both the religious and non religious ( i mean practice wise)-

discuss your personal experience with meditation or even how you do it

personally i begin breathing "3 step breaths" 5 seconds at each part so you take a 15 second inhale and 15 second exhale inhaling from bottom to center to top then reverse -- I do this many times and usually remain seated with legs crossed or upon my knees, after breathing is steady i begin to focus on a small blue light in my mind-if i can maintain a clear thought long enough-- eventually my vision is replaced by the small blue light hovering in the darkness--- I dont know if thats meditation but its what I do -- I seek to be without thought

    thanks

I power nap to peaceful music, either classical or chillout.

Another way to meditate is to have melodic chillout music playing in the background. You know, slow stuff from bands like Groove Armada.

Turn it up loud, lay on the floor/bed/whatever, and turn off the lights so it's pitch black. And just close your eyes, and relax.

    Very relaxing.

I have found a particular taxing yoga session and it is only after this that I have relaxed enough to truly meditate properly. I don't have the peace of mind to do it except when I have pushed my body so hard through the yoga that is has almost had no bloody choice but to damn well relax!

It works but a hectic work schedule and back trouble of a car crash make this almost impossible as it is an hour long and my neck spasmed last session.
