    Default Mechanics and AI question

I replaced the export_descr_buildings.txt and export_descr_characher.txt with the ones from the normal game so i can recruit soldiers from castles, citadels and then i dont have to make barracks and so on. I am wondering if this will have some effect on AI, maybe he wont be able to recruit armies or something?

    Why would you do that?
One of the reasons to play LtC is the slower pacing with the prolonged building times and a better balancing. Replacing the EDB file just gives you a slightly modified Vanilla with turn length 1.5 and strong archers.

So you are saying that the whole LtC is actually based on two text files?

Well, what makes LtC for me, is contained in these two files.
Of course, there are also changes in the other files (1.5 years/turn, projectile settings, movement rates for agents ...), but apart from the timescale, I can edit these changes by myself or do not think that they are that important.

I am sure Lusted can name quite a number of changes he made that I did not even notice. He did great work and the parts I enjoy most are in EDB and EDU. That makes them the core files to me.
