The Pope a good Chrisitan?

Hey, I'm recently playing 2.3 and it's really good!

But I have recognized that the Pope doesn't hesitate at all to ally with Muslim factions like Moors or Egypt, without special diplomatic aims I think. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've the impression that wasn't the case in the earlier LTC versions. Do you experience the same??

Well, I think the Pope, as an ideal for all Christian rulers should be very reluctant to ally with Muslims.

That was true in earlier LTc versions as it was part of UAI, though i don't like it. The TW series is all about alternative history, so what not the Pope allying with Muslims.

I agree about alternative history and so on, but in the case of the Pope...

Sir, with all due respect I think the Pope as the head of Christianity should not ally with Muslims. That way we'll hardly see any crusades.

That's only my very opinion, what do you others think? Maybe I should start a poll.

PS: The new skins for the Byzantines are great!!!

Well, that explains why my Moorish relationship with the Pope is better than most of the Catholic factions.

They'll still be plenty of Crusades, but christians and muslims allying is not rare. It was actually very common in the Iberian Paeninsula during the time period. So why not the Pope allying with a nation that allies with good christians?
