    Default Questions about the new patch.

    Hello, firstly I would like to thank DVK for his attention and care about this modīs users (I got the patch from a friends PC, DVK, thanks!), but I got two questions reguarding the mod:

    First, Should I play the Provincial Campaign or the Imperial, Iīve always played the provincial, but since they both have the same map now Iīm in doubt...

    Second, does the Strategic Map AI create huge armies (20, 30 full stacks) in VH difficulty, like in Patch 8?

    Thirdly, where is the "Improvements to the Traits and Ancillaries system" featured in Preview 2? Iīve just played a few turns, but I would like to know if the campaign characters can have titles as "Consul, Tribune, Legate and etc." showed in the Graphical overview, and, if thatīs the case, what campaign has these improvements (Imperial or Provincial).

    1. Play in the Imperial Campaign, ignore the provincial (will there be any provincial campaigns made in the future?)
    2. If you play on VH, I'm sure they will but ask a RS team member to be sure
    3. I believe that is going to be in a future release

    The Imperial and provincial Maps are the same...for now.

    The AI knows very well how to use '0' turn, and very well indeed. As for how many armies...to be hinest, I don't know. I doubt so many because the economy is so much better controlled.

    The Leadership system hasn't been added yet. Our guy Squid is doing the Traits from the ground up...his own version.

    I can't wait for the new traits system, it should make the mod feel across from EB and Darthmod which is a realy good combo

    There are a bunch of new trait stuff that is included in this release. A whole slew of new traits, basic genetics for daughters have been included, a fully functional age trait for diplomats, spies, assassins, and family, there are a lot of fixes based on player1's work as well as from GAFH, all traits have had any of the bonuses related to playing with a senate removed or replaced (i.e. senatestanding, popularstanding, electabilty) and a lot more.

    My goal for the next patch is to complete the genetics portion of the traits as well as get the trait portion of the leadership system done.

    I'm looking forward to it. It will make this good mod even better. I have only been playing RS for about a week and I'm already hooked. It's like a Snickers Bar, and man do I love Snickers Bars. Chocolatey!

    you seen that advert with Mr. T in it? also, DVK, are you gonna remove that Euro sign from the mercs unit cards?

    Every time I see one I try to remove it...the problem is...I can't see them all at once. I know I've removed a bunch.

    BTW, for the hotfix, you'll be glad to know I relented and allowed the recruitment of the 1st cohorts anywhere the regular cohort is recruitable.

    dvk, i dont oft say this, but... YOU DA MAN! also, i've been doing a bit of publicity on gamespot.com's RTW forums (the first post of the thread has this RS forum's addie). i've managed to keep the thread on the first page, mainly by quickly answering any questions that anyone has. Generally, the feedback has been positive: here's the ebst one so far:

    Roman lover, 25 miles North-Northwest of Traiectum here.
    This is truly the best mod I have played so far (quite a few), it has replaced RTR as my permanent RTWmod.
    However I have read through just about every thread now, and I am still not sure how one gets the Marian reforms to kick in.

    Could someone please confirm if the following is correct;
    Conquer all ten recruitment regions, build Army Barracks in them, build an Imperial Palace and the reforms should start.

    This would seem weird to me, as you will have to have conquered most of the historicaly conquerded regions, and use those kickass legions to mop up the sparse remainder. (weeeeeh I want my testudo )

    Also, how is the transfer from Early to Imperial legions made?

    And what exactly is the meaning of the L behind region names, because there are more than ten of those.

    Reforms happen anytime you build an Imperial palace in a region that has the hidden resource italy.

    Go to the Marius reforms thread and it lists the cities that will set off the reforms

    Thnx, I'l get right to it, so that's Mediolanum, Patavium and/or Cannae?
    Or does it have to be a latin province, then Cannae is the only one with an L behind it (if that is indeed the hidden resource).

    the Roman Empire's population was mostly slaves would you really expect anything else from DVK?
