    Default Hotfix for the Release

I'm working on a Hotfix which will fix a number of these stupid unit card issues. Obviously, I missed a few of them when I was putting in the new ones.

I also want to include Angel's last update, because I am now seeing that the archers are too much to handle. Sorry I wasn't a believer, but they are overpowered as people said. I hope he fixed it.

I'm a stubborn old fart, I guess. It's just very hard for me to 'grasp' all of this. I have so much on my mind, and trying to balance all of it is just 'numbing' sometimes.
I'm kicking myself for all these unit cards missing, because I'm such a perfectionist.....guess I have to just accept you can't always get it ALL right the first time. One thing I am happy about however, is the stability. No one has reported any CTD's on our team, and I haven't had a single one. That alone is a major accomplishment. Time will tell....

Yes, the stability is fantastic. I lost my EB Arverni campaign to a CTD that I can't get around... so RS seems to be more stable than EB...

I no more than wrote that, and somebody reported a CTD! LOL
Oh well, whatever THAT was, it isn't the Mod.

My v3.5 has the fixes. I decreased accuracy a little bit to all archer units and added some delay on em. Not to biggie. I tested this and they are still effective but not OVERWHELMIGN!

If you want to keep the treasuries here's what needs to be added to export_buildings.txt. It can be added around where you see the description for the Crimean Bosporan threasury (i.e. small_treasury_thrace) descriptions. This should get rid of the missing text error.

    Code:
    {small_treasury_greek_cities}	Greek Cities Treasury

    {small_treasury_greek_cities_desc}
This building represents the wealth that the Greek Cities has amassed. By capturing their capital city you have drastically hurt the Greek Cities and you will reap the reward by destroying their treasury.

    {small_treasury_greek_cities_desc_short}
This building represents the wealth that the Greek Cities has amassed. By capturing their capital city you have drastically hurt the Greek Cities and you will reap the reward by destroying their treasury.

That did the trick! Thanks Squid.

Apparently I missed a whole .zip full of Slave\Free unit cards, Tone. Sorry. Working on fixing them now.

The small changes for the BigMap should be done later today.

    Ok here they are.
Also, the 'Imperial Campaign's map files are in this folder, as well as in in 'base'. The game uses the ones in Imperial Campaign atm.

Should I include the hotfix in the installers I'm making or finish them now and let the hotfix be for everyone?

I think put the Hotfix in the installer. It will be save game compatible, so no big deal. I've just been waiting a bit for feedback to make sure there's nothing major. I'm going to put NR's map changes in tonite and make a couple unit card adjustments for Rome. Other than that, nothing TOO major has happened or been broken.

OK, I'll wait for the hotfix then. I'm also going to try and get the installer to delete the provincial campaign so there's no more confusion. As I said before there will be two installers a full installer that includes everything from the ground up and a patch10 installer that is for those who already have the game up to patch8.

I can't remember if this is in the hotfix or not, but here's the error:

Any chance you might post it here so that one can copy-paste it.

Already fixed it. Also, you really don't have to bother deleting the Provincial Campaign. It's exactly the same as the Imperial. My plan was to leave it there, and then when NR gets done with the New Mundus, just replace the Imperial Map.

I thought the whole point was we were getting rid of the second map, why leave the IceTorque map if we aren't going to use it?

One more little thing for the hotfix:

    type machimoi_pikemen
    skeleton fs_s1_hoplite, fs_s1_swordsman
    indiv_range 40
    texture egypt, data/models_unit/textures/new/machimoi.tga
    texture romans_julii, data/models_unit/textures/new/machimoi1.tga
    texture carthage, data/models_unit/textures/new/unit_mm_greek_hoplite_mercs.tga
    model_flexi data/models_unit/machimoi_high.cas, 15
    model_flexi data/models_unit/machimoi_med.cas, 30
    model_flexi data/models_unit/machimoi_low.cas, 40
    model_flexi data/models_unit/machimoi_lowest.cas, max
    model_sprite egypt, 60.0, data/sprites/egypt_egyptian_spearman_sprite.spr
    model_sprite romans_julii, 60.0, data/sprites/egypt_egyptian_spearman_sprite.spr
    model_sprite carthage, 60.0, data/sprites/wbb_greek_hoplite_sprite.spr
    model_tri 400, 0.5f, 0.5f, 0.5f

These pikemen shouldn't have the s1_hoplite animation, it should be a slow spear like the other pikes. You wouldn't use a pike overhanded.
