Missile units will be made slightly less powerful, some tweaks to units which are too strong for their money, some improvements to the campaign game, tweaks tot he battle ai.

    Bigger map?

I would love it if you could somehow include the Stainless Steel map

    Its not a big map

All it does is add like 30 new settlements to the vanillia map

Won't be in 2.4 as it would stop save game compatibility.

I will only be adding around 10 provinces once i've extened the map, otherwise if i add more it will become too much of a siege fest.

    You are extending the map?
To be quite honest I quite like the original map. All that it needs is for the South of Italy to have 1 or 2 more provs.

The SS map is excellent - it doesn't add too many provinces, just enough to add some extra interest and opportunity, but keeps the campaign well balanced.

One thing you might want to change is to reduce the building attack capabilities of ballistas.
I was sieged by the enemy with 3 (3x2) ballista units and before they sent their towers, ladders, etc. they:
    - opened 4 gaps on my stone walls
    - destroyed 4 defense towers
    - destroyed the gate
    - at this point the enemy sent their troops forward while the ballistas kept firing at my units.

They should be a weapon against infantry, not to completely destroy a wall.
How can I reduce their power and even their ammount of ammo?

Yeah, ballistas can knock out walls in 1.2 vanilla as well - I don't like this feature

I couldn't agree more: Ballistas should have NO effect whatsoever on fixed structures. Not wood. Not stone. Nothing. As convenient as it may have been for the game designers to see them as privative cannons - this was simply not the case, rather they were more akin to large clumsy sniper rifles. Very seldom seen in the Middle Ages, they are grossly overrepresented in the game and should, in my opinion, be abolished.

A little extra reading on the subject...

Lusted, do you plan to readjust mining values?

Playing as the English, I have very very rich mines (+850/turn) whereas playing as the Turks, I have poor mines (+250/+350 / turn).

I hope lusted removes ballistas from the game.

every time the freakin enemy sieges me, I have to wait 10 minutes (on x6 time no less) for the bastards to finish destroying my walls with ALL of their balista shots, then come to my town center to get slaughtered wholesale on that narrow road by twin catapults I put behind a line of spearmen.

But jesus, any way to tone down the enemies need to destroy your walls completely, then abandon all its siege gear and rush to the openings?
who the hell designed this stupid disfunctional game? gr I hate CA, bloody incompetents.. ahh.. urban combat which is essentially bridge combat with zombie A.I .. uhm.. what was I saying?

Ah right, any way to completely redesign cities? even completely open terrain is much better for interesting combat than basically a small narrow road to death.
Maybe if instead of huge clumps of buildings, there was a building here, building there.. a lot, but never a clump that you can't maneouver around.. that way you'd have to make more than 1 huge chokepoint and actually move your troops around a bit.
and it'd be harder to win a 500 vs 2000 siege hopefully.
