Ctd please help!

I just finished downloading the .95 version of the game and everything was going smoothly, but when I made my faction choice in the campaign screen and I try to continue, it just constantly CTDs. If anyone has a solution please help. Thanks.

it would help if you first ensure us that you have followed ALL the installation instructions, and have double checked that you did... the most important being that its a CLEAN version of RTW 1.5 or BI 1.6. In fact, unless you have done something weird, those are the only installation REQUIREMENTS, and the rest should be pretty clear (and since you got the game running, it seems that it is).

So after you check the requirements and instructions, and you are pretty sure you've done everything right, I would recommend that you first delete you Chivalry folder, and reinstall the mod. If that does not work, and nothing else seems to solve the problem, your best option (one that seems to work most of the time, but one that will take the longest) is to reinstall your game. I guess that sometimes, when people think they have a clean game, they don't...

EDIT, also, very important for this release, as written in the DL topic for this release:

A) Remove a file, that was accidently left in the game: (recommendation)
1. Open RTW/chivalry/data/world/maps/campaign/chivalry_ee
2. Delete the file map.rwm
3. Start a new 0.95 campaign. Campaign menu: Chose Early Era - chivalry_ee

What Drak says, but before you make the "big trouble", just check out if your RTW 1.5 (or BI 1.6) works still as it should, as you know, you can play the vanilla games on the usual way, parallel to Chiv.

- Then, most important is, that you have removed or renamed a possible former install of Chiv, just make a fresh install of Chiv (the folder/directory structure has to be: RTW/chivalry ... that means the chivalry folder within the RTW folder).
- Next, the start-shortcut, check eventually again the paths ... look into the contained folder about the shortcut-providing).
- Last, yes, consider to remove the map.rwm file of the chivalry_ee folder, and make sure to chose "Early Era - chivalry_ee" in the camp.-menu.

At least, your ctd while your described start-process is an install/file-structure issue.
