Well, it seems you are the lucky owner of a corrupt saved game. The error I get when this CTD's suggests a texture missing that I've never used, and doesn't exist, for a unit that neither Bosporan or Dacian can even have. A Greek Elite Hoplite. I've looked thru every unit I've ever used in RS, and cannot find any such texture. Sorry.

Thanks dvk901...I will attempt to find said unit and isolate it. Perhaps even breed it to take over the world!!

The Thracian/Bospheran General "Ziper" seems corrupt. I took out the units one by one and it seems this character was causing the CTD. Kill him off.. I could assault ok with him gone. . Sometimes the "generic error" cannot find blah blah texture means nothing I've noticed in modding my own game..

Exactly....most of the time these corrupt saved games seem to involve a named char. Probably got a wrong name or ttrait or something, or as you say...got his zipper caught. LOL That's not what you said, but it sounded funny. I imagine that would upset him.....

Are most 'corrupts' usually generals or family members you think?

It seems to be the most common thing that corrupts saved games....which is why I say don't quick save, and save numerically progressing saved games OFTEN...so if things like this happen, you can go back before it happened and let the game make the RIGHT choice this time...maybe.

I get a CTD when I go to Roma city view, I have the hotfix installed. It says that there isn't a horse texture installed.

CTD: Generic Error:

( Model_db:model registry has requested a model 'roman_lesser_general' which was not found in model load script 'data/descr_model_battle.txt ) This happened when I tryed to view the city of Rome. I am running the current version of RS1 with all current patches.
