Upgrading Comp to make M2TW run better, faster, smoother.

M2TW runs quite laggy for me, and I would like a better gaming experience without spending a lot of dough.

My Specs, not sure which ones are needed to make an assessment

Processer: AMD Athlon XP 2500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz
RAM: 512mb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200

I would like to be able to play on better settings than basically everything low, with AA, and all the other neat effects. I am basically a computer noob, and I would not like to spend a lot of money.

I would like to say $250 Canadian, $300 pushing it.

wait for the real experts to answer, but I don't think there is something you can sqeeze in that will make a whole lot of difference...

I just upgraded from almost that exact system in February. I know how bad it performs with M2TW.

I don't think with the your budget that your going to be able to do whole lot. I had 1GB ram with mine and it was still terrible. You have 512 so adding another 512 will help a little.

Unfortunately to get an enjoyable difference your likely going to need to upgrade it all.

Ok. Well then, lets say I had $500 CAD. If I cannot get it now, I want something to work towards buying.

I think you are better off buying a brand new computer, there probably isn't anything you can do to upgrade that, the processor is outdated, the graphics card is outdated, and the motherboard...

You can get a pretty good gaming computer for around $600 USD these days, so start saving.

Ok, so lets say I am going to get a new computer. Do you think you can help me get one that will last for a while. I know next to nothing about computers though, so keep that in mind.
