Great mod, my share
I want to thank Darth for his work, it's THE mod I'm looking for.
Really well done, nice touch on the unit balance, like for example the roman legions and specifically I like how you weaken the germania spear warband and empower axemen, this give the faction a more aggressive style as it should be.There are some modications I've made, that in my opinions could improve gameplay.
First, my biggest concern, is the unit's stamina are overall too low.In darth mod battles are longer, units tire faster, after a few skirmishes the troops are already "very tired","exhausted", it renders some of the otherwise good soldier become nothing more than a walking punch bag.I edited the units and gave them hardy attribute to compensate the longer battle they'll have to endure.
I have been on a Greek campaign, tradional hoplites is a good unit, perhaps too good in my opinions, it render the plain hoplite reduntant, as a result I rarely recruit them.Compare to the plain hoplite, tradional hoplite is 2 att higher, faster att speed, more men, and I think the light spear attribute give them a lesser penalties against infantry. The biggest advantage of plain hoplite is their longer spear, which is only a little bit longer, not much of an advantage IMO, they still lose to pikeman. On top of that, the plain hoplites pull out their knives when enemy get too close, losing their bonus against cavalry. While in this situation their knives are better than their spears, I rather use the tradional hoplite who are proficient with their light spear in close combat. To save the grace of hoplite, I remove phalanx formation from traditional hoplite, so I will still need to field some plain hoplite for defend duties.
I also alter the mounts' radius and mass, because they were too powerful with the prices.I could disrupt AI's most elite phalanx formation easily with a cheaply recruited 440 denari light cavalry, while I like the dynamic action, it's a bit overkill.I thought of increasing the cost, but I'm not sure if AI will try to avoid building poor stats-wise and expensive cavalry.
That's all I can think of now, it's more like nitpicking I know, see when it comes to gameplay and balance darth mod without a doubt is the best around for RTW so it's kind of hard to think of an improvement.

Re: Great mod, my share
Thank you very much for your valuable first post and welcome to TWcenter! DarthMod for RTW/BI is a finished product and many of you will have already realised it because it is completelly bugless (Not a single CTD) and of course has the best possible adjustment for a super gameplay. My target was that exactly...gameplay. Although it has 1.7 GB of graphics and files inside, the most valuable files are the .txt gameplay files which manipulate the code.
I tried to make every single faction worth playing and give a special flavour to the person it plays with it. I am just certain that this mod will continue to give re-playability to RTW-BI, one of the best games around that inspired me so much that I stopped playing anything else.
.PS The phalanxed greek hoplites have secret attributes that are not seen entirely in stats. For instance:
-Far greater resilience to bow fire from the front
-Greater morale(not in stats but in secret thresholds)
-Longer pikes to hold the enemy afar
On the other hand the unphalanxed hoplites come with:
-Better mobility (good to cover the flanks)
-Better to withstand flank attacks
-Better on 1 vs 1
Just like Homer ages but they are more obsolete than the phalanxed.
As for the mount mass...cannot say what you exactly did.
I know that all the attributes together create the dynamic feel of battle and the stress to hold a powerful cavalry charge.
Trying to do that to M2TW now for 1.2!
